Aye maybe but those big corporations would have to spend extra on market research and other things to make it work. I'm not saying it wouldn't work, I'm saying it is a risky venture that may not make additional income for the company. This is why this wont happen because they will go the safe route and make them as cheaply as possible. It is all about profit they don't give a * about the customers. If this sort of thing will make them more money then they will do it simple as that.

 

As it's just a drawing as opposed to an actual shirt I would be very dubious on if this is real, they didn't quote any source either.

There are sites where folk seemingly with too much time on their hands design kits and some folk take them literally when they are distributed around the web, my hunch is this could well be in that category but we will have to wait and see.

 

Just out of curiosity when did football replica shirts start to become commercially available?

 

I had one in the early 70s and. I think before then were just literally the colours of the team without the badge and anyone made them.

I'd say they only became a big deal by the mid 80s, the European Green one was the first real one to capture my imagination.

 

Then let's just hope the real one (if this is true) is better, and not worse.

 

i doubt its real after looking at other "leaks" on that website,
the renders are made up of the same materials and taken from the same up close angles, even though one was new balance and one was adidas,
so i doubt very much mock ups from 2 different brands would use the same close up shots and same materal textures.

 

It was Admiral who first really exploited the replica kit market before that it was Bukta who would make unofficial jerseys for people to buy.

Got my first one in primary school.p4 about 1976.it was a piece of * but was the best top I ever had.was never so proud when I first wore it and the thousand times after that ))

I hope this isn't the top for next season, I don't like those daft little hoops around the large one. Keep it nice and simple...........green and white hoops!

It's not leaked it's a mock up done oan sum * laptop ffs!

 

When you think about it though...wouldn't they make a design on a computer first before a prototype is made?
Could easily be the design.

 

Yes there is a possibility it could be the design but people seem to be taking the mock up as gospel.

I will wait till there is a physical copy of the shirt before branding new balance the new isis.

 

Am the same, not convinced its defo the top. I have also noticed that there seems to be 2 versions of the mock up thats supposed to be the leaked kit. One just has some green writing on the inside collar and there is one which has a NB logo instead of the green writing.

I actually like the kit aswell- if it is the real deal I will be happy enough.

 

its an improvement on our current top if real.although anyone else thinking to secure our deal with magners weve ruined the hoops?when has the hoops actaully ever been spoiled?since our deal with magners we seem to be adding stripes to suit there badge.thats if the current pictures are true.

 

Agreed if that is our next home top a definite improvement over the current one. But that isn't saying much it would have been hard to come up with a worse top then the current home one both from a comfort and design standpoint.
