This is superb news. Salzburg use leifring in this league to churn out all their players so must be good standard.

 

I think this will be great for us long-term. We all know what difference it made for McGregor to go out to Nots County on loan for a season. Hope a few more go out on loan to SPFL teams or down south (Vata, Summers, McPherson, Kelly, Lawal, probably about half a dozen more).

 

Also, Anderson is 63.. could it mean?

FOUR Celtic youngsters are being lined up for loan moves to Austrian side Admira Wacker, according to reports.

The Hoops are understood to have a feeder club arrangement with the second tier club, focusing on loan deals and player development.

Admira have won the league nine times but have slumped further and further into obscurity in recent years, culminating in their relegation from the Austrian Bundesliga last summer.

In a bid to hopefully attract talented prospects (for reasonably cheap, too) they secured a tie-in with the Premiership champions and are making use of it already.

Earlier this week, the Daily Record reported that defenders Matthew Anderson, 19, and Ben McPherson, 19, would be on their way to Admira.

Young goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi, 20, is set to join them as well.

Now, according to Austrian writer Stephan Blumenschein, another starlet is being prepared for a switch to Central Europe.

It's said that 20-year-old striker Joey Dawson, who scored 20 goals in 21 matches for the Celtic B team in the Lowland League last year, will make it FOUR young stars heading out to gain experience in the 2. Liga.

He wrote on Twitter: "The 4th player to come from #Celtic to #Admira is said to be English striker Joey Dawson."

In terms of names that may be familiar to football fans here, ex-Barnsley striker Patrick Schmidt is on the books at Admira and former Manchester United loanee Marcel Sabitzercame through the youth ranks at the Mödling-based club.

 

Wonder what the maximum number of players we can loan to a single club is.

 

Did Chelsea not have about 5 or 6 at Vitesse at one point or another?

Dawson not out injured until the end of the year?

 

I hope this works out for both clubs and we can keep it going for years.

Its a disgrace we can’t have an actual B team playing in League 2 ect

 

Not sure about to foreign leagues but in Scotland it's 4 I think
