I think with Brexit the work permit stuff is a bit easier for us now.

Regardless, think Austria is fine as Salzburg have sourced a lot of good African and South American talent.

Good principle to have partner clubs like this, we just need to make proper use of it, fringe players out on loan for experience and to boost Admira, potential commercial boosts from working together, we do like an Austrian pre season normally

I know Desmond can't be * with Celtic half the time, never mind another club but given he is a very wealthy man, I am surprised he's never taken on another few teams and stayed in the background like always.

I'm obviously not advocating for him to start producing a * City Group like spree, that's obviously mental but when you see some of the teams that The City Group own, that they bought for relatively low sums, Desmond could afford them no bother.

Aye, good point. Kinda forgot about them to be honest.

Ireland isn't even a minor player though when it comes to football. I mean, they bought Lommel SK in Belgium for £1.75m, which cleared their debt. Don't get me wrong, they're still in the Belgian 2nd tier but you should be able to restructure and refinance a few teams who clearly have financial issues, like Admira Wacker.

As @littlekennie said he has pumped money into Shamrock Rovers and is making a nice few quid from them by all accounts.. a nice little present from Celtics bank account for Scales too. Rovers have received some nice transfer fees lately and are guaranteed decent Euro money every season.

Saying that Celtic havnt benefited from this particular link.. not sure it's an official link either..

    PS * shamrock Rovers..:67:

It's not easier, it's just that it's now as difficult get players from Europe as it is from other continents. There are different requirements in some EU countries that make it vastly easier than it is here.

Might be part of the reason we seem to be linked with a few young boys maybe not ready for starting 11 , might be an option to send them out on loan rather than lowland league

Something that should have been utilised a long time ago. Really liking the direction the club is heading in.

Celtic youngsters Toby Oluwayemi and Matthew Anderson are set to join Admira Wacker on loan.

The young keeper and left-back travelled to Austria today to finalise their season-long loans.

Oluwayemi and Anderson will move to the Austrian second tier to get vital first-team experience.

The pair both played regularly in the Celtic B team and they feel this is the next stage in their development.

Celtic formed a partnership with Admira earlier this year.

The nine times Austrian champions hope that their link up with Celtic will help both parties.

It can help them win promotion back to the Australian Bundesliga but also give some of Celtic’s young emerging talent some overseas exposure.

Kind of standard we need to be pushing our youngsters to. The B team has its advantages mainly giving them competitive football to play but it's miles off the standard they need.

Good moves for both hopefully get some more of the boys from the B team last year out too. Lawal having interest from down south and Vata and Summers would probably both benefit from going out on loan too for the season.

We really need some of these young guys to make it to at least being decent squad players.
