I agree with the general sentiment of this post. I think it will serve Celtic well to invite DCU a return match at Celtic Park and show Freddy around. He is at a very impressionable age of 17, and an indelible first impression will go a long way toward, yes, landing him!

Its nothing got to do with age and Kerlon isn't at Utd because of the fee Cruizeiro is asking. We can sign Adu without any issues

no, becuase freddy doesn't have an EU passport, he can't sign with a European club until he's 18.

 

I know this rule like the back of my hand now. If you're under 18 you can't move unless you have a passport for the country you are moving to or you're parents are moving there for non-football reasons. If you have an EU passport you can move to any country in the EU. I imagine the guy from Canada was probably able to secure a passport from an EU country due to his parents or grandparents. This is how US international Jonathan Spector (West Ham, ex-Man United) was able to circumvent the law. His mother was born in Germany so he got a German passport and was able to move to Man United at 17. Right now Adu can't play anywhere but the US and Ghana. Next season he will be able to move anywhere as long as he can get a work permit.

 

His name is Clyde Simms and he is a decent player, but nothing special.
