Celtic after Adu ?

We had Jamil Walker, who is a reserve forward from DC, on trial a few years ago.

 

no chance of getting him! a lot of big clubs are after him!

 

Don't recall ever having Adu, and not heard of Walker. Only heard of Lensky from Canada.

 

i think alot of yous areplayin football manager too much i mean he is 17 how the * can you all know what kind of a player he is without seeing him play and dont start your pish "oh i have seen him play many times" * off you all found out he is a great player to sign on football manager and some one made this * threat on that asumption what a load of pish

 

Not so sure I agree Irvy, I'd imagine some people here are basing their opinions on facts as oposed to FM. I'm not denying that some will be like 'Oh, wow he's good on FM so must be in real life' but I'd imagine some people do watch the MSL and have seen him before.

 

right am sorry heat of the moment but im sure this is alot of pish and he is only 17 and well lets face it basically unknown and ppl are acting like he is some kind of superstar there ave been younger players in the world cup and correct me if i am wrong i don't remember seeing him there if he is so good why do i not remember seeing him.

I'm sure alot of people's opinions are FM. Sad but true. Not many people are saying he's a superstar in general. Think they are more just saying he's got really good potention and is hailed as a superstar there because that's they're hope for the future.

 

just seen during the game,they were talking about him coming to celtic,apprantly steve guppy works in washington and was talking to him and has sold him on celtic,he apprantly said that he would be very interested on a move to celtic when he's 18.so maybe there could be something in it

 

I remember when Walker come over, but i think it was just a training stint not a trial.

 

the club is already big in boston but mostly among irish ex patriates

 

also steve guppy is over in the states....

 

he came over a couple years ago (maybe last year) with DC United but only lasted a couple months before he got released. I believe he's retired now.

 

daily express has stated freddy adu wants to join celtic :d

 

would be a good move for him I think. I also think Celtic should go after Clint Dempsey from New England and the USA world cup squad. He's looking to leave for Europe.

as a player i cant comment on him. never seen him b4 or heard of him tbh but u bhoys all seem 2 rate the 17 year old so ill b interested 2 c him!! if we get him it sounds promising

 

why whould he want 2 move 2 a club like chelsea or real madrid so that he can sit on the bench every week during a time when he need to get as much football under his belt as possible , he would surely sign for a team that he would have a better chance of playing week in week out then make the move to a bigger club in a few years.

 

Yea exactly, its the same reason Kompany didnt go to Chelsea. These young lads want to play and Celtic have the CL to lure Adu here. Very hard to break through at Chelsea now
