That was really such a powerful demonstration of the depth we have. They defended pretty well and restricted us for the first half but clearly had to work so hard to do that that there was very little left in the tank for that last quarter of the game and after we bring on O'Riley, Hatate and Oh and then Haksabanovic for good measure for the last 15 they were just out on their feet.

 

WE NEVER STOP ! will be Ange's mantra and lasting legacy at Celtic. Plus all the trophies of coarse !

It was good to watch. I think we play above well for Scottish football. Not sure I could say the same in comparison to the EPL. Would we be competitive in the English Championship top six ?

 

IMHO we would be at least a mid table team in the EPL with the current squad.

 

The thing is, if we were getting £100m+ per season for just turning up in the premier league, we would be more competitive than we are now. After watching our champions league performances, we would well and truly survive in the premier league.

I also think we would be mid table with this team and with the riches of the league combined with the club’s history and support, Celtic would have the means to strengthen further, even competing at the top end. There’s a reason that Celtic often gets talked about joining the premier league but never gets invited, because they (the English teams) know that it’ll be one less spot at the big table to get their feed.

 

Was at the Leeds Brentford match recently. We are way better than either of those teams.

A lot of EPL teams are honking. We are minimum comfortably mid table I'd say. Just have to look at the various euro games against English sides to know we can hold our own in that league.
