Love the huns saying that they need 4 or 5 players to compete like we're not going to improve.

Love them saying if the goal was given or they should've been more clinical, like we couldn't have scored more.

    If and buts champions.

    * me man, nerves were gone last 10 mins of that game. Chuffed with the win but scrappy af few great performances though johnston and Mcgregor the standouts. O Riley was class bar the free kick which led to their goal and I thought Iwata was CLASS when he came on

Well, in fairness, the 2 'replacements' we have for him (Mooy and O'Riley) cost about £2M between them... So no a bad return on investment, and cost/benefit return is fantastic - especially given one is supposed to be a project buy and the other as an end-of-life stopgap

Not saying it’s not a good investment. Both are good players. Fact is though, Hatate is on another level. There was someone on here the other week claiming that Jota is more important than Hatate. Which I disagreed with, and today backs that up. We badly missed Hatate today. Jota is a fantastic player but we have got replacements who can come in and the level doesn’t really dip. If Hatate is out though, we are a far worse team. If Hatate plays today, I think we win comfortably, that’s how good I think he is.

    Agreed.

Hatate plays today we are a far more dangerous animal.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but what I was trying to say is that there's maybe about 10 teams in the world who can lose their #1 playmaker and bring in someone where you can say that their level didn't dip significantly - playing for the full matches, I mean, not subs. As replacements go, our options aren't too big a dip, and the outlay to get them was minimal.
And, as always, they wouldn't be in the spfl if they weren't missing something that stopped them being snapped up by bigger leagues

If he plays, that game finishes an absolute doing. The pockets of space he picks up and runs into? We would have embarrassed them.

Did they catch on TV Beale getting scudded in the face by a ball thrown back from his own dugout.

Silly * could do nothing about it as had his hands in his pockets. :56::56::56:

100%. Hatate is absolutely crucial to the way we play. There are players we can lose due to injury and we don’t really lose much, there are others we do lose a lot, Hatate is one of them. I honestly think we would have ripped them apart with him playing today.

Cal is Cal. However Mooy, O’Riley and Turnbull are lost without him.

Any two of those three cannot play together.

Way I see it. Cal is 6, Hatate is 8 and the 3rd mid is not quite a 10, maybe a hybrid 10 whatever the * that means.

However we have too many “10s”. We need a Hatate clone.

    Shouldn’t be hard eh?

We weren't great today but still beat those feckers and that's all that matters. Let the SMSM blow smoke up their arses for their above average performance but, just remember huns, Hatate will be back for the semi, Mooy will be a bit sharper and we won't play as bad as we did today.
