For me we should never list young B team players for the first team squad so you take mcardle out and drop mccowan back to that position. As shelby said Italian lad looks like a 10 so drop him down there for mccowan. Jota is 2026 so shift daizen wide and I still believe osmand will go on loan even if he doesn't it then doesn't look as lopsided.

 

Ye just never know what's going on in background with our own players but if window was to close today and we signed the rumoured players I think it looks very weak

 

Maybe it's my age but that sounds like a cracking day out.

 

Rodgers talked about first team quality over squad quantity and our last window seemed to indicate that would be the new direction.
This window seems to be going opposite way, made worse by the fact we still have a lot of squad players to get rid off.
There's lots of time to go, but so far very concerning given low quality of both recruited and strongly linked players combined with recent / possible high quality outgoings.
All adds up to a weaker team - so far.

We’ve got rid of loads of deadwood only to replace them again. two signings that really make no sense in the Japanese players, well the imminent arrival of the forward.

These two signings makes absolutely no sense to me, people can go on about the forwards last season but he’s been honking this season.

 

That was last financial year thats been banked and tucked away

 

We’re a fickle bunch. We complain when we put all our eggs in one basket and things don’t work out, then we complain when we have “too many” targets.

I’ll have a crazy stab in the dark and say we won’t sign every player we’re linked with…

 

Rodgers insists that Celtic know where they need to improve in the transfer window, and is confident that they will do so.

However, Rodgers was noncommittal when asked if enquiries had been made.

“But we've signed some really good players. We've signed some potential. And we also know we need to sign some players that can affect the team, because we lost some really important players

Kyogo (Furuhashi) in January and Nicolas Kuhn possibly leaving. So we know what we need to improve. And I'm pretty sure we will do over the summer.”

You could say exactly the same about Kuhn. I don’t want players like that near the squad because when it comes down to the nitty gritty, these are the first players who will let you down.
