Celtic 2013/2014 pre-season friendlies

I liked the lad from Helsingborgs, and the other lad big Fall or Fail is it too? he
looked good, but again they are a wee bit more match fit and ready I guess and hope and * pray!

 

First of all, the people who are responsible for elevating the tone in this thread are the people screaming CHILL THE * OUT. Up until now there have been reasonable observations. "Let's not play McGeouch at RB." "We are not match fit." Last year our first match was on August 1st. This year it's two weeks earlier.

To the people mockingly talking about how we're talking about how the team is "*", some people are talking about the defense, some not even that much. I am only making the observation that we are not match fit. I was one of the biggest defenders of the club and the players in general last year. I support them fully, I support Lennon fully, I'm willing to give the new guys ample time. But the reason the second half was so bad was because of our fitness.

 

I just don't know how to feel about this

 

You don't build up match fitness though unless you over exert yourself, its the only quick way to get fit. Our players look like they were enjoying a nice game of 11s down at the country park.

To get match sharpness the quality doesn't need to be there necessarily but the application does and currently in preseason the application and effort is not apparent.

 

That's because I couldn't give a * about Sheffield Wednesday.

If Celtic were to be beaten 17-0, the last thing I would be doing was laughing at off.

To be honest, they should really be match fit by this point anyway.

thats pretty much what i think

except for i blame the midfield aswell for the defending

our midfield today could not only not pass the * ball which is their job but they did * all in the way of helping out the defenders either.

is up there with the stinkiest of all performances of a celtic team thank * it means fuckall in the grand scheme of things

but i do wonder time and time again season after season watching these games what the * are the players and coaches getting out of these games

it's like lets go out with no game plan and lets try not to attack in fact lets let the other team run at us as if we are a sunday league team stuff

 

Exactly. To the people screaming about match fitness being the only thing to worry about - well that's the * point. If it's about match fitness then the fact that we got cleaned off the park after about 50 minutes should show that we are a bit behind where we should be.
