I really hope the last two league games are not a taste of things to come in the run in.

 

How terrible are we at taking corners man

 

Don’t know why Lennon is getting the blame. It will very much be a if it wasn’t broke don’t fix it with Burke up front. As for the midfield, we don’t have many options right now. Wait for the players to come back before the knives come out. That starting 11 will change drastically over the next few weeks

 

A very average showing today and given some of the talent and experience on the pitch that’s not acceptable at home.

The motivation to stretch the lead should have been plenty encouragement to dig that one out.

I appreciate we have injuries, however; there’s more than enough on that park to see any team off in this league. Very concerning but it’s not the first time we’ve seen similar.

Inconsistent, over the course of the season at times we’ve seen a spattering of magic followed by uninspiring dross. Today was somewhere in the middle but this time no maximum points. Champions can have games like today but still get over the line, shame that saying didn’t apply at the final whistle.

We move on to the next game a little less inspired.

 

But Johnstone looked a threat. He was the best player on the wings for us today by a distance. Burke, Sinclair and Forrest offered nothing out wide

 

Was going to happen sooner or later and its better we get the bad result out of the way now rather than later on when we may not have to time to get the points back in another game.

This will give us an idea of how well lennon can work with this squad,they are good enough to win this league from where we are now and it will be up to lennon to make it happen.

Its annoying when the scum drop points and we dont kick on but we will learn a lot about lennon/squad relationship from this and lets hope its positive.

 

Not getting the grief for Johnstone

Has that bit of creativity about him and done the lad a beauty near the end to fire that ball across. Weah gets on the end of it and we’re creaming ourselves

 

Still win the league by 10pts or more, hard game out the way.

 

Taking Henderson off was a terrible move, he was the one creating most of the chances in the first half. The only change needed at half time was Eddy for Sincy, with Weah on for Burke later in the match if that wasn't working.

Still though, a point gained, unbeaten home run continues, and hopefully Lenny learns a few valuable lessons.

We didn't play as a team. No real shape or understanding between the players.

My main worry is that we were so well drilled under Rodgers to play a certain way that Lenny tinkering with it in such a short space of time could lead to the whole shape and composure of the team unraveling.

 

Think he may ring the changes for the next game now.
Need Eddie starting. Need Burke playing in his natural position
And Need to get that spark back in the final 3rd

 

Burke's "natural" position is RM/RW, but he's never getting in there ahead of Forrest.

First mid week off in ages and we serve up that pish should've came out flying looking to go 10 points clear that was woeful, need to stop playing Burke up front on his own as well it's not a long term solution at all and we've got strikers available. Badly need our midfield back before the end of the month they're a huge miss.
