Today's result is all on the manager. He played into Livingston's hand with his team selection. Giakoumakis should not have started the game. The plan was to get cross balls into the box and for him to get on the end of them. To play against anti football teams that park the bus you have to drag them out of defensive positions and get in behind them. Kyogo should have started. The penalty taking decision was made by the manager also. He has to learn from today as we chucked away 2 points.

That way of playing has a lot to do with making our game a * investment, it's supposed to be a game of football with quality on show and good skills and goals, that improves standards gets more watching fans and gets more money into the game, that * we watch all to regularly against us is a scourge and us short termism at its finest, no TV channel is going to pay what they pay other comparably sized leagues in the world because of this anti football

 

The style you seen from Livingston today is not only done in Scotland. It’s done in every league in certain games. One of the greatest managers of all time was renowned for his negative style in Mourinho. If Livingston come to Celtic Park and play an open attacking style, they will likely get pummelled. Only a daft manager would do that. The football we played today was utter * as well by the way.

 

You just have to compare the comments on the first two pages of this thread to the last two pages to realise how fickle some of our fans have become. The problem is that teams can choose not to get dragged out. Giakoumakis should have, in theory, been a punishment for their overly deep defending, but the first half crosses couldn't find him. In the second half, crosses almost vanished, in facvor of endless cutting into a packed center, despite us having 2 strikers.
