Interesting how Rafa or his representatives haven't rubbished the speculation like Martinez and AVB

To put in perspective how bad our recruitment has been on the whole recently.

Frankfurt will have signed Rebic and Jovic for less than we signed Sinclair and Edouard.
    Grimaldo cost Benfica around £2m.
    Pavard to Stuttgart £5m.
Jedvaj to Roma £5m then Leverkusen £7m.
    N’Dicka to Frankfurt £5m.
    Brandt to Leverkusen £350k.
    De Jong to Ajax, £1.
That’s not even talking about our own bargains over the years.

We don’t need to be continually spending 8 figures or breaking the transfer record every season. We don’t need to spend more, we just need to spend better.

If you think I've been here before you're less Hercule Poirot, more Inspector Clouseau.

Thing I’m most wary about is having a gamble, to a man we all would have accepted a guy who’d managed 3 titles in a row while playing good football in France, coaching the likes of Juninho Pernambacanu. Every appointment is a risk, we need to make sure whoever is in has the mentality to manage at us, who could cope under the pressure, who understands the unique challenges of the Scottish game while still having us rise above it.

    I want the * 10. I don’t want a single thing to jeopordise that.

Aye, totally agree and I said as much earlier in the thread.. If we go foreign the need to have experience and a tested strength of character to lead us..

The thing you’re most wary about is the reason I’m 100% certain the gig is Lenny’s with 3 more wins; Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts/ICT. It’ll be the same issue Lawwell will have even taking a remote gamble.

Next season is the big one, we can’t afford a poor start. The season after would take care of itself because Slippy won’t be at the shitpit to see it and the funds won’t be there to rebuild to challenge us.

On the face of it Lenny is the man for a safe guidance to our 9th Title in a row, the only thing stopping that is failure to navigate a semi and final. In all honesty.
