    My general feeling is that Rodgers wasn’t backed that well or any more than most of our other managers, within reason.

    I take your point on the broader issue of the board not supporting managers - this being a major gripe for me.

    I did some maths using this page which came out with then spending being approximately the same. Not a very academic source though so I could be wrong.

    I looked into that one once out of interest. By looking at the newspapers it actually looks like Brendan spent about £4M more over a shorter period than Lennon did. But it only comes from googling tbh
