MON has won a Treble and titles up here and got us to a European final, he'd probably be less of a gamble then Lennon.

Strachan is a better manager than Lennon. Less of a gamble as well.

    In reality, probably not.

He's barely been in the Notts Forrest job a season I think. Imagine he'd cost a small fortune to get him out of it.

He's no been there a season mate. Karanka was still there until after Christmas so it's only a matter of months.

:56:. I knew someone was going to ask that as I was typing it. I'm not sure. I don't think he is working ( apart from punditry.)

Not much of a gamble that’s the thing. He’s won a lot more than he’s lost with us as a player and manager. I think an unknown is much more of a gamble.

Benitez, Jose we couldn’t turn down if they were keen.

Looking at the poll again and outwith Lennon and with Benitez looking unlikely, the candidate with the next highest vote that's possibly available is Clarke.

In reality people need to be careful what they wish for. Lenny is the cheap option but our penny pinching board are notorious for looking for the cheaper options. I dread to think what alternative they might come up with.

WGS was a pundit and got us to the last 16 of the CL.

This clearly means Karanka can do the exact same thing, get him in pronto.

Without once again regurgitating the same old arguments, his previous record for us is all well and good but it doesn’t tell the full story as to why he may or may not be a gamble.

    first lol

we've a better class of player now than when strachan was in charge and he coached them to play possession football could he give us more

steve clarke has done brilliant with kilmarnock and is probably still very hungry he just doesnt inspire me

i think we need inspired as the teams football showing has gotten poorer since brendans first season

weve went for gus hydink a few times havent we, whats the chances of him ?

He's currently managing the Chinese youths so you would have to imagine he is on really good money. So unless he really fancies the challenge I would think pretty slim.
