Mate I thought that until I started reading about the situation he had at Huddersfield. No real training facilities, League One budget, even the place the players had their meals was a public cafe type place. Them surviving relegation would’ve been a massive achievement never mind promotion.

Because they had no money they went and signed players from lower league German teams who were good tactically and could adapt to his team.

Klopp was desperate for him to go Liverpool and manage the u23’s so they could get youth players ready for the first team.

This is more about him and the mentality he built at Huddersfield
    https://www.joe.co.uk/sport/making-a-miracle-how-david-wagner-led-huddersfield-to-dreamland-192011

This is about the tactics he played

What type of team he likes to build so they can press all over the park

Then there’s every Huddersfield fan treating him like a * and basically saying that he performed miracles and the board let him down badly. On their forum there’s lots of stuff about the job he done there.

Noticed Martin O’Neill was in to 8/1 on PP this morning.

    Strange one.

No chance its MON and Keane, its feel like they've been in the Notts Forrest job five minutes and would cost a small fortune to get them out of the contract.

Plus, when did he actually take over there? As getting a manager of a mid table championship side doesn't scream ambition, when you've got the likes of Wagner out of work and likely far cheaper to bring in.

Wouldn't be against him getting the job, but his win % is pretty poor. Granted that Huddersfield time in the PL will have reduced that, but even at Dortmund youth it was under 40%.

Heard someone say Phillip Cocu would be a decent guy at us. I personally believe he should go back to Holland. Just wondering people's thoughts on him.

I hope to * it's not Moyes or O'Neill. Luckily I don't think it will be either.

    Please be Wagner.

David Wagner in advanced talks with Schalke. Disappointed with that. Would have liked to see him up here.
