    Peter Kay got all the kudos for Phoenix Nights, when it was a combination of himself, Dave Spikey, and Neil Fitzmaurice.

    The lack of recognition that the other two failed to get caused a bit of resentment, particularly given that a third series was in the pipeline, but Kay decided to sail off into the sunset and bask in the glow.

    You only have to look at Max & Paddy's Road To Nowhere, which didn't have the input of Spikey and Fitzmaurice, and wasn't anywhere near as good as its predecessor.

    But I find his stand-up cringey and repetitive… kids playground stuff.

    The clamour for tickets to make him even wealthier sails right over my head…

    I like clever pointed political comedy like Stuart Lee…

    It means * all in the Lords, for MPS it would mean going to the next election as an independent. You can't remove a peerage unfortunately, although she could resign and keep her title or go to prison for 12 months and lose her seat in the Lords and keep her title. I'm surprised what she did wasn't illegal but people like her don't get sent down.
