My parents believe 100% in everything the bible says and that's sad. Grown people with a brain believing in some elaborate fairytale.

Nothing against people who are daft enough to believe in any religion. If that's what gets you through times of trouble then cool. It's just not for me.

And BTW, Jock Stein WAS the best Celtic manager of all time, but is arguably the best football manager of all time.

Roman Catholic. I think the Protestantism-RC split was a joke and the art of mentally inferior people. They don't have severe differences, why to split and wage 30 year wars? Unity is needed, and not separating.

 

with the numbers of actual real practicing (at least once a week) folk dropping through the floor, I hope some day sense prevails and many of the churches unify again and simply leave the detail up to individuals own traditions and conciences. We all believe in 99% of the same stuff its just crazy to split hairs over stuff.

 

I'm considered a protestant and I go to an unconventional church. It is considered to be a non-denominational church and 50 of us worship in a warehouse downtown and all sit down for lunch after our service. Our congregation is made up of many different races and we have plenty of inner city homeless people and ex convicts that attend as well. It is refreshing to be part of a church like this and I honestly can't say there is anything else quite like it anywhere I've been in the U.S.. I'd been turned off too many churches previously because the bickering and selfishness did not represent the Christianity that I was taught to embrace. Anyway, my fiancee (who was raised catholic) and I have been going there for a year and a half now and love it.

religions a strange choice of thread for a non sectarian club like the tic, i think looking at other rc threads it seems to cause more arguments with guys on this forum than most footballing threads, celtic fc have never ever asked a person what religious persausion they me be so why has it became such a hot thread on this forum?

 

If you had read the very first post on this thread it was praising the fact that we are such a tollerant club that welcomes one and all,it was simply to see how accurate the magazine article was in claiming 75/80% of Celtic supporters are from the RC religion.People will always argue about religion that will never stop so what that has do do with the point of the thread i don't know

Dionisus, Greece - 500 BC (Liked it so much the did it twice)

I could really go on for ages naming "Copycats" but im sure the Christian in you will just say "* did it to test our faith." and as much as you say faith is unfaltering my friend, I say, Ignorrance is bliss.
