I’ve not rated the guy at all since he signed. Morelos was horrendous today. You touch him he’s down. That set piece is unplayable unless you’re half a foot taller.

If we had Starfelt last year he would have been worse than Duffy.

Morelos played him so many time's, particularly in that second half it was comical..

My point goes beyond Starfelt anyway. I’m merely pointing out that we more often than not take the cheap option, whilst they get what they need.

You not see Roofe initiating contact with arms behind then going down as soon as Starfelt tries to battle?

Morelos had possibly his worst game against us. Winning free kicks by being a * isn’t a reason for having a good game in my eyes. It’s pathetic.

Like I said, some corner won’t be defended. Doesn’t matter if it’s Starfelt or Van Dijk. The Barisic corner and Helander run up, he’s just got to get it on target. If it’s Welsh we probably aren’t having this conversation.

 

Was okay. I still want a tall CB bought, because he has certainly not cemented his place in the first XI. Welsh is more consistent.

 

I actually see a lot of similarity to Duffy. Doesn’t really have any stands out physical characteristics and looks uncomfortable on the ball. Not convinced he even wants it.

Thought he played well today but still too many holes in his game. Drawn into committing too many daft fouls (in his defence, bigoted Scottish refs will be falling over themselves to give them) and beaten for the goal and still a bombscare on the ball. If he was a youngster like Welsh you'd say fair enough, he's got time to improve but it's not really good enough from an international you've spent millions on.

When does Helander get a game? Helander isn’t someone I’d want and a headed goal doesn’t change that.
