Complete non starter. That cup final probably added another £10m to his price tag.

Cracking save again tonight, he's been fantastic since we were linked with him but doubtful he's gonna be pulling on the Hoops I reckon.

10k a week? Poor *. How the * does he survive? I hope he's getting a food bank delivery every week to help feed his kids. Its starting to sound a bit like what Pierre Van Hooijdonk told Fergus McCann

We need to give this one up we're not getting him. Allison will be lucky to get his place back the form he's in

We won’t get him but Allison will start the second he’s fit - he’s arguably the best goalkeeper in the world.

I wouldn't argue against Allison being the best keeper in the world.

I agree but Kelleher has shown no reason why he should be dropped. Dosent look great when your showing that kind of form and then punted back to the bench. Either way we can't afford him

Which is absolutely true. But for us its not so good as at this point just like with Tierney the fee Liverpool are going to be looking for is going to be way out of our league and thats even if we were to ditch the current recruitment policy which has held us back. He is under contract with Liverpool for 2 more years so if they were to sell him this summer they will easily get offers we simply cannot compete with. Whats amazing is the lad is 25 and has only played 50 odd games because he has always been number 2 at Liverpool. Very few games for a lad that age.

He was probably already going to cost too much before he’s stood in recently for Alisson. Now though? Aye not a chance. Some of the saves he’s pulled off recently have been outstanding.

I never quite seen it with him before this spell, but aye, you can tell why he’s highly spoken of.

Aye, pointless to speculate even on it. The rumours of it in January seemed to be strong enough, from as reliable sources that it does seem like it was one we were looking at. And from the very first second the link came out, it already seemed to be pie in the sky. Now he’s actually put in some outstanding performances for Liverpool? Not a * chance. Even if he wanted the move desperately, not a * a chance due to money involved.

Sadly true. Even if we were to ditch our ultra conservative recruitment policy Kelleher is out of reach for us financially thats just the reality of it.

We are never getting this guy. I literally don’t know why anyone thinks it’s remotely possible

Last two games might have brought it back down to a reasonable £20m fee now, before that he’d brought it upto £40m odd:56:

Just seen that back page posted in the Idah thread. Sure there was something about him wanting to go out on loan next season if he's not first choice.

Caoimhin Kelleher admits he would look outside of the Premier League in his bid to become a No.1.

Celtic are believed to be interested in the Republic of Ireland goalkeeper, who has mainly played as a back-up at Liverpool during his senior career.

He did get a run in the side under Jurgen Klopp last season after Alisson sustained an injury.

And the 25-year-old admits Klopp has told him to find a regular game somewhere for the benefit of his career.

Brendan Rodgers is a huge admirer of the Irishman.

And it seems a switch to Glasgow could well be on the cards if an offer materialises.

He told the media: “He had some nice words for me. I was with him for a number of years and he said ‘You became a brilliant goalkeeper in that time.’ He is going to follow my career wherever I go. He wants to see me playing and to be happy.

"The season I’ve had, I’ve played a lot of games and had that taste this season of being a number one. Whether that’s at Liverpool or elsewhere, that remains to be seen. My main focus at the moment is to be number one

Obviously I love playing for Ireland. A big ambition of mine is to be the number one here – obviously, that only comes hand in hand when I’m number one at the club as well. That plays a major part as well, in terms of helping my case to be Ireland number one.”

Asked if staying in the EPL was a priority of his, Kelleher gave hope to Celtic: "Obviously I don't know what is happening yet with Liverpool, but I am open to all options. Obviously if I do move everything has to be right.

"It has to be right for myself, and that could be in England or abroad. I have to make the right decision and it has to be a good fit for myself most importantly."
