I used to stay in Vancouver for work & had a fantastic experience everytime. The same could not be said of journeys to Quebec, for example, where there is an underlying arrogance and something of a 'chip on the shoulder' attitude, which seems more prevailalnt in the dominantly French speaking regions.

  2. Yea most of the people from Quebec are crazy

  3. Those Scots are the same as the English.........

    I'm dead aren't I? :56:

My Daughter just came back from Brandon -Manitoba - Winnipeg ,was there for 3 weeks and loved every minute of it and yes she played a lot of hockey while out there ,,she added that they never get fussed over anything and there so laid back ,,Even the Bears are laid back she said .:icon_mrgreen:

  7. Thats why I love Canadians and Canada.

  8. I imagine it would be like putting you and I in a room together Alsy - I will be speaking perfectly vocabularized English, whereas you would sound like a raving randy highlander:56::56::56::56::56::50:

To be honest, the way I can tell Canadians from Americans is the word out......

Americans say "Oooowt" as if they are singing it.....

Canadians say "Oot!" as if it was a short fart from their mouth:rolleyes:

  9. How's the British passport working out for ya?

  12. * Quebecers, or Quebecois as they like to call themselves....

Absolute *, whiny like you wouldn't * beleive. Dad gets off the boat and goes to Quebec, goes to a bar with one of his friends. The French * behind the bar wouldn't serve him because he didn't speak French. Said my dad didn't understand their struggle. It was buttfuck easy to just serve the * beer but those * Frenchy * foo foo * * hate everyone who doesn't speak French and are ignorant to anything that doesn't include Canadians or Americans being humiliated on an international scale.

Seems we arn't the only ones that have encountered issues with the French culture in Canada. Speaking with friends etc when I was based in Vancouver, they would often talk about how rude they were, but I was skeptical to believe it, until I experienced it for myself. A sad reflection. :38:

they booed the american national anthem at a hockey game, and do you know what the bruins fans do? they give the canadian anthem a standing ovation when the series is sent back to boston
