It's not hard for all of us. I didn't choose Celtic, my family in Scotland and Ireland are all Celtic so I had no choice. No need to follow my local team as that's not what I know. Plus when I growing up Rangers won everything! Was hard times, also with the Pats, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics winning nothing.

It's really not dude. The problem with most people in our country is the glory hunting problem. The amount of Chelsea, Madrid, Utd fans I know it plain sad. :54:

Well for me. I support the Celtics because I am from Cambridge and Duke because I went to school there and played for them. Some friends of mine follow Boston College though.

It makes me sick when I see all of those jerseys. When I play pickup with kids on campus I am the only one that does not wear a jersey from a major popular club. They are like * are you stupid because you like Celtic, they never win and cant beat Rangers. I tell them yes we do we are good and talk about the teams history. Half of them dont know anything about their clubs smh.

The children of our country just need to be more educated about this great sport and team.

Very little. Usually little boys till they get to a certain age then start playing American football like I did. In fact where I am from it's mostly seen as a girls sport. When I was in college in North Carolina, most of those guys felt the same. :54:

I use to hate this sport with a passion. I have played American Football all my life and I still play pick up games. So that was the cause of my hate. But a little over a year ago I started watching and loving the sport of soccer, thanks to a good friend who is a man u supporter. He is a true fan of them and he hates the bandwagon fans of them. He wanted me to like them too I said no and I wanted to find a team on my own. Celtic was the first team I started to like.
But last year I wasn't sure who my team was so I explored by watching games from these teams all year; Bayern,Celtic, and Aston Villa. After a while Celtic was my true calling everything felt right. When Rangers won the league by that one point I was so heartbroken I started to tear up a bit haha, that really is hard for me to cry for a team unless they are very close to my heart, like the Capitals and Ravens.

I go to some Celtic matches but I also support Raith Rovers with them being my local team and go to most, if not all of their matches.

I'd say similarly passionate, but in a different way. Organized singing and chanting doesn't happen at American football games. It happens at college basketball games, but even then only the students themselves do it (Duke's Cameron Crazies are probably the best of the bunch). It just isn't really a part of American sports culture, which is a real shame, because it would be neat if it was.

However, there are some really neat traditions that show the passion of American college sports-the campout to get Duke basketball season tickets, the pregame pep rallies at Notre Dame, the walk to the stadium at some of the SEC schools. They don't compare to organized ultra demonstrations, but American sports are just somewhat different that way.

A huge number of people play soccer as young children. Then it drops off. I think it is starting to make some inroads through the World Cup-a lot of people turned on the WC to watch the American national team and ended up enjoying it.

Its big advantage-no commercials. I love American football, which is my #1 sport (University of Notre Dame's American football team is my favorite team in any sport, with Celtic and the New York Giants tied for second), but the commercials are * horrendous.

American Football is much better than rugby and although I've never played it, it would be sore as * to be a QB or WR

I like Barca, quite like Leeds as well. Celtic will be the only team I'll always support.

You played basketball at Duke? You must have been pretty good, are they not pretty much the top programme in the country?
