What do you think? How many will potentially leave in the summer?
In my opinion this could be the best team since early 2000s and we could be onto something special.
I think we will lose Hatate, Taylor, CCV and potentially Kuhn.
Which I * hope not as it is quite frustrating that we never see the full potential of a great side.
Imagine this side with Tierney and qnother 12 million CM for example.

I think Rodgers sees next year as his last and will want to go out with a bang. He'll be in the ear of players like CCV, Kuhn and Hatate encouraging them to stick with him and leave after, which I think might just work. We may lose one but I reckon the majority will stay.

No. We're designed to sell.
There will be interest in Hatate, Daizen, Kuhn, CCV and AJ in the summer. We keep them 4 of the 5 and we've done well.
We just need to hope that as we sell for large sums the player replacing them is near as good with a equal or higher ceiling.
Of those players, CCV and Daizen are the hardest to replace.Random Review and Skelleto like this. -

Every year we should sell one big player and bring in two big money signings (totalling the cost of the sale)
And then a few other small signings to improve the squad.
That way we keep progressing while allowing players to move on.
I think the bigger issue with keeping this squad is the manager though. Will Rodgers sign a new deal, as not only is he class but he holds a lot of sway over the board and the players.
McGregor isn't getting any younger eithercalmac23, greengrocer and Skelleto like this. -
Taylor is fine to go, KT takes us up a level and from there I say the starting 11 looks good.
But it's the depth that's the issue.
If no one else leaves, we would need another CB and another striker at least.
Arguably another winger but that depends on Yang I guess at this stage.
But if hatate goes - I think we are okay, so long as we get someone else in. I don't think the quality drops for the starting 11 when we consider the 5 we have to pick from for CM.
If Kuhn was to leave, he needs replaced and it'll cost us! No projects!!!
I don't want to entertain CCV leaving.

Hard to say really. Most likely to have quality sides in for them are Kühn, Daizen and Engels, think if we can keep them 3 we'll be able to replace any others who leave pretty well.
Think our progress in the CL gives us a better chance of holding on to these guys, but it could be out of our hands regardless.
One thing am sure of is we'll be looking to improve again so don't think we should be worrying too much about losing players, it's all about moving forward rather than sticking with what we have. -
It’s stressful because some of these guys have taken years to get as good as they are now and you aren’t guaranteed to replace a player with someone on par or better who hits the ground running. There’s always a period of growth. I hate transfer windows now, the losses can set you right back when you’re trying to kick on.

Catch 22 we do well our best players get noticed by clubs that can give them more money and a better league to play in.
I hate to say it but I think hatate and daizen will be wanted khun and ccv probably aswell.
Engles hasnt been brilliant so I think we could should get another season out of him I also think he should dovetail with Calum taking the ball from the centre backs and building the play.
That's what we are is a selling club, what's really important is that we have our eyes in the replacements for any that may leave, player acquisition team for us is seriously important -
We should stop trying to methodically build from the back in Europe as if we were Man City or peak Barca. Let's face it, we cannot outplay the elite teams. Our best bet is try to outrun them. We should be playing a more direct style in Europe like we did under Ange. Domestic games are another story.
Hope we manage to keep everybody. Would be devastated if we lose Maeda.Skelleto likes this. -

Hatate would be a far bigger miss than some realise . I think the gaffer knows that and rates him very highly.

Actually think losing Hatate and Taylor would arguably make us stronger providing we bring in right replacement for Hatate, same with losing Kyogo.
Would do all we can to keep Khun, CCV and Maeda for 1 more year at least
Business model is to develop and move players on at a profit but should never be any more than 1 or 2 1st teamers per seasonMorcombe likes this. -
CCV, Hatate, Maeda, Kuhn, AJ we will struggle to keep. If we can keep 3 this summer that's good going.
Engels will be the same after another season.
No idea how this summer is going to go. -
