Unsure on the two wide positions. Stokes and Commons aren't usually the best in Europe but we've yet to see Mackay-Steven and Forrest is probably going to be injured

He's a different player to Podolski but I'm actually quite happy with that..

He's a better player than Podolski but far more greedy and less deadly which I think/hope, might work in our favour..

That would be my team, bitton doesnt deserve to lose his place to armstrong, i think hes been playing well. Commons and stokes to start and bring forrest n Gms on as subs i think.

More 4-3-2-1 with Johansen sitting more, just with the emphasis of keeping us in the tie as tally teams have proved deadly on the counter at Celtic park on the last 2 visits..

The new boys haven't shown there first team Celtic players yet, nevermind throwing them into a knockout European tie and Guidetti unless a dramatic change of fortune and tinkering by Ronny at dens park, is behind Griffiths on current form..

    I agree with those points.

I think we need to possibly sit back more. I'd be in favour of playing a tight 4-5-1 and hit them with a bit of pace wide. It's harsh to leave Commons and Johansen out but an Italian game requires tres good defensive aptitude and pace out wide.

That's pretty much spot on, Izzy will be for a tough night of man marking.

I am interested to see how Deila approaches this, particularly the away leg. I wouldn't be too sure of playing the 4-2-3-1 away, this is where he will be really tested. Is he able to change the style effectively.

Charlie'll miss this, won't he? I'd have him starting if he's fully fit.

That imo is our strongest side if we are going for the win. Bitton isn't as good as Armstrong even though he's been playing well, he also doesn't have the same goal threat. In saying that I don't think he'll throw the 2 new bhoys in against inter, maybe 1.

I wouldn't for this one he's not good enough, certainly at European level to warrant a midfield start.

When a team press and close space well, which you would expect an Italian side to do, he struggles.

CB or Domestic LB cover for me now for Charlie. Or the odd game at LDM.

    * frightening how many people are putting GMS and Armstrong into their team for the Inter game in place of some of our best performers recently. The lads haven't even played a competitive minute for us ffs, let alone have much in the way of European experience.
