Following the Huns game I'm as confident as I've ever been that we can beat Inter.

It proved we can follow a game plan to a T, score goals then contain teams. We are also solid defensively just now which is very encouraging, last person to score against us was our player before Christmas :icon_mrgreen:

I'm talking in general, if he contributes the amount of goals and creativity that Stokes does I'd be * delighted but he'd be doing extremely well to do so.

Not sure about that but I * hope so.

I'm not sure it's the type of game you'd be wanting to start him in so soon into his Celtic career.

This, and as someone quoted inter aren't firing on all cylinders at the moment, if celtic play like they did against quidco I think we have a good possibility of progressing through, get an early goal and retain possession then another then close the game down, we have plenty attacking options in the squad, ecspecially now with gms and Armstrong who will bring an extra creative attacking flair to our side, also bitton is improving each game and we are becoming a more solid side now, if we mount the pressure on them early on and keep pressing the ball up their half of the park then I can see them conceding early on, aswell with the roaring home support I believe we can strike up a good lead to take to San siro

Seems the San Siro wont be around much longer as AC are moving to a new 48k seater while inter are having a 60k seater

Its true that Inter and AC Milan are currently not the major forces in Italian and European football that they used to be, but then again neither are Celtic.

Our main problem lies with our defence when coming up against teams outwith Scotland, our record this year is not so impressive. We need to get smarter and defend as a team, that means forwards, midfielders and defenders taking responsibility collectively.

Lets hope the forwards and midfielders bring their shooting boots on the night !!!

If our collective defending is good in this game, think we can get a good win.

Inter is playing against Napoli tonight in the Coppa Italia. Should be a good game and interesting for any Celtic fan. Especially since the Coppa Italia is now called the TIM cup :celt_2:

I'm not convinced that we should use the rangers game as a barometer for our level right now, they put up such token resistance that they make Championship teams look good. Plus we'll have to play for 90 minutes against Inter.

If we can keep everyone fit, especially the likes of lustig along with that other back 4 then I think we have a great chance. They are really inconsistent and we play in a way (high pressing, pace) that they struggle with..
I'd be delighted with any kind of win at Celtic park and I think we'll get it..

I don't think it'll tell us much. Napoli will be favourites. They always play well in the cup.

Quite simply, if we attack them then we'll have as good a chance as anyone to beat them.

Sit back and admire the shirts rather than looking to beat the players wearing them and we're onto a loser.

Celtic, with the wind at their backs, with disciplined play, with players who are up for it, can accomplish miracles. The 2003 UEFA run, beating Barcelona, even the recent Europa League run (though some of that was down to luck, but still) shows what can happen when they maintain their focus (and their 'keeper is on form). I'm tentatively thinking Celtic can * it.

Ronny needs to study our last few games against Italian teams namely AC and Juve. Both those teams done their homework on us, gave us nothing easy, were ruthless on the break, and stifled the crowd. I reckon we can beat them but we will have to be smart or brilliant on the day.

Port boy As I said Secvo were very poor , and didn't really put up any resistance , however they had the extra man throughout (Thompson ) . I was thinking that it would be a good idea if Scotland employed a Compliance Officer that could pick up elbows and stamping on players .
