I'd say, the way we're playing, you can.

I'd be confident of us doing a lot better than we currently are, but we're not. Mancini hasn't brought the short-term boost you could've hoped for, although I'm sure he'll be worth it in the long run.
But we're really, really dire at the moment. 0-0 against Empoli and 0-1 against Torino attests to that.

I'd give you a 40%, maybe 45% chance of going through, as things currently stand. But there's half a month to go, so who knows...

The hun and Dundee games will be two big atmospheric games, win them we'll go into the inter games with a lot of confidence. We shouldn't fear inter, id say Salzburg are a better team imo.

I didn't see the match, but you had a good game against Sampdoria right?

40-45 percent may be right if your defenders keep getting injured...

That was almost two and a half years ago. Two and a half years prior to that, Inter were the champions of Europe. If you get my point.

Yeah, we pretty much dominated a Sampdoria side having the best season since they had Vialli and Mancini and the likes in the 90s.

It was the Coppa though, so it might have been partly why, but both teams were pretty much full strength.

Still, a draw against Empoli and especially losing at home against Torino is very worrying.

D'Ambrosio is out for three weeks, and Campagnaro is having trouble as well. Jonathan hasn't played all season, and Nagatomo's coming home from the Asian Cup injured as well. Worst case scenario, we'll have to play Donkor (a youth product with 3 games to his name), and Dodo will be on the left (having a giant bright shining neon signing over his head reading "attack down this flank"). But I don't quite expect things to turn out that badly.

Andreolli took a slight knock, but Vidic, Juan and Ranocchia will be alright.

I saw the last 15 minutes of the Sampdoria game and it had me a bit worried until i saw later Inter were playing against 9 men.

So this is a problem tackling players from Argentina well drilled in the art of beating a player and then winning penalties.

Luckily we have one or two who can also do the same, so it should be an interesting game.

Unless Celtic make a number of quality signings between now and the end of the transfer window then I think there is, unfortunately, a better chance we'll take an absolute hammering.

This is probably the best chance we have to beat them since 1967 ! We are no great shakes but this is Inter, a major European force who are struggling for form and confidence this season. They are vulnerable just now and there is definitely an opportunity for us to go through.

Warming up to the match by watching Sassuolo-Inter. Inter's first-choice full-backs are all injured and it shows. Sassuolo just scored 1-0

The young boy at right back is getting a hard time of it. Both goals coming down that side along with Rannochia. No help from Shaqiri in front of him or cover from Guarin or Medel.

    Two cracking finishes mind you.

Yeah, Donkor I think. He created a clear penalty too, which the ref ignored. And yeah, the goals were stunners to be fair. The second one in particular is just one of those you can't defend against. But Inter looks beatable

And yeah, Guarin, Shaqiri and Podolski have all been bad

12th in their league. Aye we could beat them if we are at our best.

And thankfully Mancini is a clown. We can do them.

Of course we can. However am concerned about Izzy. As much as I luv the guy, he wanders upfield, tries to beat everyone in his way, then loses the ball and saunters back. he gives good opposition opportunities to exploit because he leaves gaps at the back. Today was prime example and against better opposition we'd have got punished.

    Can we honestly beat Inter?

Going off our current form and capability and how * Inter are doing, yes, we are capable of beating them.

As well as getting gubbed the day Icardi & Guarin got into a blazing argument with the ultras, they threw their shirts into the crowd & the crowd threw them back lol
