Tbf, you can’t claim it is reactionary to judge a player on a couple of bad games and in the same breath claim he’s proven he’s good enough after one good game.

Trusty was excellent tonight, but CCV walks into the team for me.

Think he's at least a game away from being fit so think Trusty will get another chance to impress this weekend.

I don’t necessarily mean this weekend, I just mean whenever he’s back. He’s our best centre back and it’s not even close.

That said, his injury record is definitely becoming a huge concern.

Scales, after tonight, to me is arguably more important. Can't get credit for games you don't play.

I hope not... If this shows anything to us, it's hopefully that we can take our time with CCV and bring him back gradually and in the right way, so we see an end to these niggling injuries

Can I just ask what the situation is with Cameron? Is he still assessing his reaction to training?

Yes, certainly whilst we were away, it was the best he'd felt. So, he's obviously done some training back here. We're just being careful and listening to him, really, to not want to force it, really, if it's not right. But he looked very good today, and he's been that throughout this week. So, fingers crossed, he comes through tomorrow okay, and then he can be involved in the squad.

To be fair, you couldn't really ask for a better pitch to be slowly eased back on than Fir Park, arguably the best pitch in the country, so hopefully he sees some minutes tomorrow.

Happy to hear he's on the way back, it's always good to have options in the squad.

Sounds like he'll be on the bench on Sunday. Hopefully be able to bring her m on for the last 20 mins or so.

I don't think we have.. rushing him would have been playing him on Wednesday..

25/30 on Sunday would be perfect if the game allows it.

Not just that, after Wednesday even CCV being fully fit to start, dropping Trusty regardless of him being exceptional for a clean sheet away to a really good team in the CL… being dropped regardless after that, because CCV is just better, is one of those decisions that could de-rail a burgeoning Celtic career.

He deserves to start the next game, whether CCV is fit or no. The next game CCV being back won’t be as fresh or damaging and everyone thinking fair enough, but if he’s dropped Sunday regardless of what he’s done stepping into his place then whats the point in his mind by then, one of the best CB performances in Europe any of us have seen but still pointless if he’s on the bench anyway.

We have options to rotate, without an obvious dip in quality. A great position to be in..

It would be Scales I would take out for the last 30mins v Motherwell if we can. He's played so much football.

Then v Dundee on Wednesday we start CCV and then there's a decision to make.

A fully fit CCV who's natural as a R/CB plays and Scales and Trusty battle/rotate for L/CB.

Would try and look for a quality R/CB in Jan and offload Welsh and Nawrocki.

But, it's good to know Trusty can play R/CB when asked and as much as Scales has been amazing I'm chocking to see Trusty I'm his natural position, partnering Scales..

Aye, but he's played the most football, domestically and internationally so like all players will need a rest. And really want to see Trusty is his favoured position.

It's not because of Scales' form he's been brilliant and has improved again this season.

I get where you are coming from. If Trusty comes in and does well, do you then have him partnering CCV though? I’m just not a fan of tinkering with centre half partnerships unless it’s forced. Scales and CCV had only conceded 2 goals in 7 games prior to CCV getting injured. Schmeichel was barely having to make a save in games. We’ve got big games coming up, I’d rather we have a settled two.
