Becoming the norm now for him to be missing big games due to his injury issues, priority in January/summer window has to be to find someone on par or even better than CCV as even tho he is a brilliant player for us you simply cant rely on him with his injury record.

We’re * without him tomorrow night. Though I would rather we don’t rush him back again anyway, need to keep him fit.

He’s become too injury prone. Hardly ever been available for big games past 18 months or so. New RCB has to be a priority in the next window or 2.

We need another top drawer center back in January.

Not having a fully fit CCV for huge chunks of the season is insufferable.

I love him but he seems to always have these niggling injuries.

It's why we've kept him so long tbh, and why we have a good chance of keeping him past next season too.

Shows how important a CB is in January, I like Scales and Trusty is a dependable back-up, but an injury to either of them and Stephen Welsh is starting again.

So that’s him missed our two toughest champions league games (on paper) and biggest test in the league. It’s absolutely vital he’s fit for the cup semi in a fortnight.

As I said previously his injuries are becoming a big problem for us.

Massively concerning how often he is out injured. That’s issues with his Knee, calf, hamstring, and foot in the last 20 months or so. All leading to significant time missed (over a month).

As good as he is if we got offered a decent fee for him like we could have got in the summer we need to seriously consider it but our centre back recruitment of late gives me the fear.

I would hope the scouting and recruitment team are working hard to identify a replacement who is on par with CCV. Not someone who's just been relegated being part of a defense that shipped over 100 goals. Identifying a player who's used to dominating the ball etc. Would help if they could defend as well :56:
CCV is becoming far too unreliable and like another has said were an injury away from Welsh starting again which is terrifying.

Probably end up identifying Tierney as his replacement :56:

To be fair to the board, they gave BR £6m to sign someone that should be able to step in when CCV is injured. Would anyone trust Rodgers to sign anyone as good as Carter- Vickers ?

Need to spend big on that position in January then in the summer we can concentrate on a left back, keeper, winger and defensive mid.

CCV cost £5.82m (= €7m). In any case, £6m is more than enough to sign a better player than Trusty.

Don't worry everybody, I've told him if he's no playing he's only getting statutory sick pay so he'll be back before too long.

It's Rodgers, we'll just get more guff from the low end of the EPL/Championship.

One of the biggest reasons I was against his return let alone the fact that he's a snake is his ability to spot a player is worse than the huns ability to do maths.

How about no, I actually have the balls to stick to my guns unlike the majority. He's repeating the exact same mistakes as last time and is still a traitor, nothing has changed.

He's obviously our best defender when fully fit; but with his form so far this season and the way Scales and Trusty played tonight, he'll need to earn his place.

Nah. Tonight proved trusty is capable of just that. Let's stop being reactionary from a couple bad games when someone isn't settled fully.
