Its not been that bad and in since he has come back I wouldnt say he has played like his injuries have had a long lasting effect on him.

I dont want to lose him though. Arguably our most important player.

A remarkable stat for a center back.

That's actually a mental stat! Even more so given he's not actually that tall for a centre back.

Cameron Carter-Vickers has emerged as one of Celtic’s most important players under Brendan Rodgers, but HITC understands that form has attracted the interest of a number of Premier League clubs.

Carter-Vickers has been with Celtic since 2021 when he joined from Tottenham Hotspur after initially impressing on loan.

Celtic paid just £6million for Carter-Vickers and he has since become a cornerstone at the club playing over 100 games.

His importance to the club was emphasised when he was handed a new five-and-a-half year deal in January, but despite the new contract that has not stopped him emerging as a target for a number of Premier League clubs.

HITC understands that newly promoted Ipswich Town are amongst the clubs eager on Carter-Vickers, as they look to back boss Kieran McKenna in the transfer market.

Ipswich will have one of the smaller budgets in the Premier League, but HITC is told that they will be backing McKenna to make some key signings and one of those is set to be in central defence and HITC understands Carter-Vickers is under consideration.

But Ipswich are not alone as we understand there is interest from both Fulham and West Ham. Both clubs are in the market to bolster their central defensive options and 26-year-old Carter-Vickers is someone that is on their list of options.

Carter-Vickers himself is currently in his homeland of America, where he is featuring in the Copa America. Despite being born in England, Carter-Vickers opted to represent the United States – where his father, a former NBA player, is from

USA are playing in the Copa America as they build up towards hosting the World Cup in 2026 and Carter-Vickers is becoming an important part of the national team picture, as he already is with Celtic.

And HITC is told that Brendan Rodgers has told the club’s hierarchy that he wants to keep the defender, who he is a huge fan of

When Carter-Vickers signed his new deal earlier this year, Rodgers was full of praise for him.

He told the club’s website: “He has been an absolute rock for us since he joined the club and has played to such a high standard so regularly, week in, week out.

“He has been such a pillar of strength in our defence and a real leader in the team — I know he is held in such high regard, too, by his team mates. His qualities as a player, his personality and his absolute commitment to the game make him a real joy to work with.”

I think we get one more season out of him.

We're losing O'Riley this summer (and potentially Hatate) and I don't think Ipswich or Fulham would pay what we want for him.

West Ham might be a worry but they're in a bit of a state.

As I said in the transfer thread HITC is a terrible source. Clickbait nonsense. Il worry when it has a decent source behind it

If we were to sell him this summer it would be an utter shambles. Hopefully it’s bullshit

Cameron Carter-Vickers is NOT being considered by West Ham this summer.

The Celtic defender has been the standout at the back for the Hoops over the past three years and has developed into one of the strongest and consistent performers at the club. That form has brought about interested parties taking note of the USA international with clubs in the Premier League down south being mentioned as potential buyers for the coming season.

The Hammers are the latest club to be linked with a possible move for the 26-year-old but sources have told Football Scotland that no interest has been registered by Julen Lopetegui since taking over from David Moyes

Ipswich Town are another club, newly promoted to the top flight after their stunning run in the Championship last term, who were credited with an interest in CCV but, again, Football Scotland understands he is not on their shortlist of targets albeit they do want a centre-back for their efforts in the Prem

Carter-Vickers previously had interest from the Turkish Super Lig but nothing came of it and he stuck around last season to lift his seventh trophy at Parkhead. The big man has made 115 appearances for the Scottish champions since his initial loan stint from Tottenham was made permanent in 2022

I actually don't see him leaving us.

He's at a weird stage in his career. I don't think anyone down south would pay the money we'd want.

Unless he himself starts agitating for a move, he can't be for sale this summer. Even if they offer decent money.

I think he's realised that he's played for a few clubs, never been settled, and had a decent turn like he's had here.

He's idolised, paid well (don't think that's a big thing for him), playing regularly, in Europe, making the US squad and loves the club.

All those things could mean he's actually happy, doesn't see the grass is greener elsewhere.

Think him and the club are a great fit. A good role model. Well respected.

Just so many good things about him.

One of our best signings this century for sure.
