Just so strong, has absolutely no worries on the ball, holds off players with ease.

Definitely, also made him assess what he risks by going elsewhere.

Imperative we keep him in the summer. Our toughest domestic games are just a fun day out for him.

After next season he will have top clubs in England after him, he’s so much better than Turkey.

Need another year from him. We’re already needing a partner for him. Don’t fancy us trying to find two centre halfs to be regulars.

No doubt. Of course I hope he stays not just for next season but long term. If he does leave though if won't be for any club in Turkey though thats for sure. If he decides to stay long term he is the obvious person to take over from Callum McGregor as Celtic captain and would IMHO go on to become a Celtic great.

The boy from QPR looks a good partner for him imo. Guaranteed to strike up a cracking partnership for CCV to leave at the end of next season though.

Out of everyone in our squad he is the one that unless he was battering Rodgers door for a move I would keep regardless of what is offered. Being able to keep him in the team since he came back has made a massive difference to us and I don’t think we win the league without him.

I think he’s honestly happy here. He seems like a quiet guy who has had a pretty unstable career so far bouncing between clubs. He’s on good money with that new deal and knows he’s absolutely adored by the Celtic support.

I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s with us long-term, unless a crazy offer/club comes in.

I am hoping this is the case, my worry is he gets tempted by EPL mid table side who double his money. But I agree hopefully with a full preseason he can be over his knee issues and have a fit and firing strong season next year.

Get a good solid partner in beside him.

I think he's our most important player and we have to keep him at all costs.

Echo the sentiments of @calmac23 above. I've never gotten the impression that he's wanting to move on or leave. He was passed from pillar to post under Spurs and he's came up here, he's absolutely idolised. He's part of an absolutely dominant team, under a top manager and there are rumours he's on £35k a week. Which is a huge chunk of change.

He could probably be getting about £60k a week down there but he knows what it's like down there and wouldn't surprise me to see him remain with us for another 2/3 years at least.

Really hope he stays , as posters have said he’s idolised up here . Hopefully another crack at the champions league is attractive as well .

    We cannot lose him..

    1 more year..

Bring in another top centre half to play with him. The 8 champions league games should help keeping him and then a year down the line he can leave when we're much more equipped to deal with his loss..

It would hurt us then but it would be disastrous for us now..

He signed a long contract extension didn’t he? Hopefully he’s keen enough on
Staying for another couple of seasons. I reckon he’ll deffo stay next season and work on being fit all season after the bad injury luck he’s had the last while. Another big season with hopefully a quality partner for him at cb, perhaps a domestic treble and 8 CL games. Not too * shabby, I’m sure players would get appearance bonus’s etc for CL games so anothr small incentive.

Also want to add I think the likes of joe hart coming hear and speaking so highly of the club will highlight for players like him how massive a club we are too.

He did sign an extension that runs through 2029. Hoping he is keen on staying with us long term. If he does there is zero doubt in my mind he would go on to become a true Celtic great.

I think he will stay here for years to come. It’s just the right cocktail of conditions imo. He was seen as a flop at Spurs and he’s had a couple of pretty serious knee injuries. He’s also 27 this year so no longer asset age as the Brodge would put it. I can see him playing out his career here. Fingers crossed.
