Cameron Carter-Vickers has been crucial to the Celtic backline since joining the club in 2021 and other clubs are beginning to take notice.

West Ham United, Nottingham Forest, and Brentford are all interested in acquiring Carter-Vickers from Celtic, a source close to the player confirmed to SBI. All three clubs are keen in bolstering their backlines and Carter-Vickers’ impressive two seasons in Scotland have led to growing interest this window.

Carter-Vickers originally joined Celtic on a season-long loan from Tottenham in August 2021, proceeding to win the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup that season. The American defender’s move became permanent in June 2022 and he later led Celtic to a domestic treble last season.

He has made 101 combined appearances for Celtic over two-and-a-half seasons, scoring five goals and adding two assists. The 26-year-old was named to the SPFL Best XL in both 2022 and 2023, which has led to his USMNT return.

Carter-Vickers has earned eight of his 16 total caps over the last two years, most memorably logging 90 minutes in the USMNT’s 1-0 group stage victory over Iran at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. That triumph helped the Americans reach the knockout stage before suffering a Round of 16 exit at the hands of the Netherlands.

He most recently featured in both of the USMNT’s CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal matches vs. Trinidad & Tobago last fall.

He last featured for Celtic on Boxing Day against Dundee FC before a hamstring injury forced him to miss back-to-back victories over Rangers and St. Mirren.

West Ham are sixth in the English Premier League standings and remain in the UEFA Europa League competition. Both Nottingham Forest and Brentford are in the bottom half of the league table, sitting in 15th and 16th places respectively.

A move to Nottingham Forest would team Carter-Vickers up with fellow USMNT teammate, Matt Turner.

Forrest being charged recently, I'd be shocked if they signed new players right now. Maybe in the summer, but they will want to know if they will have points deducted this season or next.

Genuinely wouldn't take anything under £35m.

Considering his age, talent, potential, history of clubs spending that on complete mediocrity, I'd be disappointed if it's anything less.

Replacing him will be extremely difficult.

Brentford spent £14m, rising to £17m for Ajer.

They can start the bidding at double what they paid for Ajer. £28m is the starting point and I’d genuinely want £30m for him.

O’Riley, CCV and Hatate… all above £25m for me.

Was always gonna come up at some point this window that one of our big players would be offski i felt. We can’t do a window now without selling a key player/s.

No idea if this is real or rumours right now though.

    NOT FOR SALE!
Certainly not at a price an EPL club would be prepared to pay a Scottish club anyway.

I'm happy to sell him if he wants to go, but not until the summer. Same as O'Riley.

We are a trophy-chasing club and shouldn't be selling key players mid-season, and I think the players know that.

Not a chance he goes this window, but possibly in the summer. Nothing short of 25 million will suffice though, hopefully even 30.

Not really our top players but have sold Frimpong. JJ, GG in the winter window. Key players thought when we didn’t really know how their replacements would be. I think if we got a decent offer our board would take it now. Especially with the injuries if he ends missing most of the 2nd half of the campaign no one will want him in the summer.

Anybody outside the top 6 of the premier would be mental not to want CCV. I reckon he will be away in the summer, would be surprised if he left in Jan.

Frimpong was an odd one. But we had replacertns signed and lined up for JJ and GG..both wanted to go so left.
CCV os l3vels above and don't see him leaving this season.
And fingers crossed signs an extension

Hopefully he stays. But I won’t be shocked if he went, I’m well past the believing what I want to believe regarding our top players. We notoriously don’t keep our main men for long any more.

Considering the 50 mill at stake would make zero sense to let him go for anything under 30 mill this window.. then throw in the fact forest paid 20 mill for omobamdiele shows what clubs down there are willing to spend...

I have a feeling we might sell him this window if someone bids around £20m. No way the board will reject that sort of money.

Hoping that the fact Forest are linked means the whole thing is bullshit, they can't sign anyone for a while I believe.
