Aye hopefully the big man can get over these injury problems. He's so important to have in the centre of defence especially in big games.

Was he ever injury prone before coming to us?

Be great once he's back. We've done quite well without him but he's colossal..

Injury prone is a massive stretch, he’s had a single injury he both played through and was rushed back from which caused another. Prior to that he was the model of consistency.

Guy is a rock in every sense.

Early October means the 1st of October to me, so back for lazio big man, such a key player did well considering how much of a miss he is, also brings out the best in the other defenders around him

26 in December. Wonder if he might be one that stays longer term. Did float a lot around before us with mixed success.

'You just never know in football' is the type of phrase that came to me reading this post. You hear it a lot from players especially.

There's no way of knowing how things will pan out for the big man, we can only hope he's here for the long term, and keeps performing the way he has been.

Galling that he's had to sit out portions of 2 CL group stages in a row.

I jumped to the end of the page in the hope he's back and stopped after reading your post... If anyone called him injury prone then I'm honestly lost for words at them. Deary me.

Pretty sure no ones said he's injury prone..

If it's my question asking if he's ever been injury prone before coming to us then lol..

He's going to make such a difference to us when he returns..

Defensively and progression in our play from the back..

I think we'll see Johnston's and McGregor's game improve even more too..

No question he is easily our best defender.

Would love it if he did. He would become a true Celtic great if he did I have no doubt of that.

………and on to AJ too. He’s a crucial part of our defence too.

    Hail Hail.

Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers could be set for a surprise return to the squad for the Champions League clash against Lazio.

The centre-back has not played since suffering a hamstring injury against Aberdeen on August 13.

And now Parkhead boss Brendan Rodgers has provided a promising update on the USA international's fitness.

He said: “Cam, we wouldn’t take a risk unless he was fit. He has come through really, really well. He is further down the road than we thought.

“He has had a real good week of training and he’s been doing lots of other work out on the field before that.

“I said before that it (his return) might have been after the international break but he’s made great progress, so we will just assess that to see if he can be in for the squad tomorrow and if he is, then obviously it would be great news for us.”

    Incredible news.

Obviously wouldn't be rushing him back, but wonder if he'll get any gametime against Hibs/Hearts
