This would be some blow for us but not unsurprising.

I think of the full team the 4 players I wouldn’t want to lose who may go at some point (not included McGregor as he won’t leave now) would be:

1. CCV - best CB we have had for a very long time
2. Kyogo - Talisman and goal scorers are hard to come by
3. Jota - star quality, big game player
4. Hatate - has been exceptional this season and also has another level in him I think.

Sadly if CCV does go, I think we may also lose Hatate.

 

Going nowhere. Been passed around from pillar to post at Spurs, treated with disrespect and a lack of love by their fans. He loves it here, he knows he’s loved. He gets a great wage, vice captain, champions league football, trophies… working under an unbelievable manager. He’s here for another couple of years yet.

Part of Ange's genius imo has been developing a kind of dressing room culture that I think played into CCV (and Jota) signing permanent contracts. The whole environment at Celtic just seems ideal

I actually think the injury is a blessing in disguise for us, as it'll keep him here for at least another year.

Without it, and I think he'd be gone in the summer, but clubs will be more wary taking a punt on someone who's just had surgery.

 

I hope your right but I think there is a very good chance you will be. Obviously I would love to see him stay with us longer but at least one more season I think we have a good shot given we know we have champions league football.

Hope your right would love to see CCV in the hoops for a few more seasons yet. The best center back we have had since big Virgil although obviously a different type of player to him more in the mold of going back to the days of Mjallby.

 

I think he’s better for us than Van Dijk was. Obviously not comparing them now or their potential at the time but CCV is the best central defender we have had since Mjallby.

 

Honestly he's not far off VVD currently, big Virgil is a complete shadow of himself nowadays.

 

It is hard to compare him to Virgil anyway as they are very different types of players. But I agree the impact he has had for us has been enormous and I think comparing him to Mjallby is a much better comparison.
