He'd been playing with it all season I think. One more game against the Huns and he can rest

Grand old team to play for
We could even use Iwata if we really needed to. In Japan he played more games as a CB than a midfielder.

That's the position in which he got POTY for was centre back so he could obviously do a job there.

Don't think it's a coincidence that he struggled in his last game, a lot on here mentioned it at the time that he was poor by his standards and Starfelt carried the defense that day.

I don't think he'll be put in for the semi if he's unfit, and neither should he be. It's a great opportunity for Yuki which I would much prefer than risking CCV.

He'll play in the Semi, then maybe go under the knife after that. Give him time to be ready and match fit again for the start of the new season.

He’ll definitely be playing the semi, doesn’t strike me as the type to want to just hobble off to the treatment table. Big man will be fine.

That seems to be the plan and it makes sense. Also gives Koybashi the opportunity to really settle into the team. He has looked decent in the spot starts we have seen so far but only a run in the team will really tell.

He plays in the semi and then for me should go under the knife.

Unless he is really struggling then just get the op done.

He had some treatment in London at the international break supposedly. Take it was a patch up job.

Really don't like the idea of playing players when they are injured. Would prefer we just looked after him now and relied on the squad.

I remember watching a nature programme and this water buffalo was injured and was attacked by lions. It still managed to shake them off and repel the attacks. This is CCV against the scum.

Not sure how much the club is taking the player's opinion into this kind of thing. I hate the idea of players having a say when it's an injury related issue however. I always remember Lennon letting Ambrose play against Juventus because he said he was up for it despite carrying a knock, or it might have been a fatigue issue. Even so, look how that turned out.

Players don't really know how injured they are because they're not medical professionals. So hopefully we aren't taking any major risks here. We can beat Rangers at Hampden with Starfelt and Kobayashi at the back.

Aye I'd be inclined to just let him off for the season now.

Well if CCV plays this weekend everyone must be pretty comfortable that he can play in the cup semi-final and more importantly that playing the next 2 weeks does not put him at risk for an even more serious and long term injury.

It might just be a tidy up job he needs on his knee, for a floating sliver of bone, gristle or cartilage.
If so, he should be fine for the next two games.
