Still baffles me he only made one appearance in the World Cup! The game he played against Iran he was quality, dropped for next game against the Dutch and we all know what happened there..just hope he’s with us for the foreseeable, it would take some amount of money to sell him

 

Can't understand why there's no one after him... he's one of the few players I'd but big value on.

 

These performances are not going to go unnoticed.
There will be EPL clubs taking notice, hope tae * we can hold onto him.
I reckon we will get some big bids for him in the summer.

I personally think it’s his physique that puts potential suiters off. He doesn’t have the typical athletic body shape that top teams look for. That’s the only thing I can think of as he’s been practically flawless for us. Long may they ignore him as far I’m concerned.

I'm going to say it and take the ridicule, his performances are better and more consistent than VVD when he was here.

 

Certainly more consistent than what VVD was here anyway. Superb player. I remember there was actusl people saying he wasn't worth the money we paid for him. Oh and thank * we "stood still" by signing him

 

Defensively, he is surpassing what Van Dijk was like here. Virgil had so much else to his game which is why we all suspected he'd end up where he is, i genuinely think he could have played in any outfield position when he was here. But defensively like you say he was a little bit inconsistent - obviously improved that majorly since leaving. CCV is as good an out and out defender as I've seen at the club in the 25 years I can remember watching Celtic.

 

I agree mate , just hope we can hold on to him for as long as possible

 

I will rate him well in the top 4 defenders, for us in no specific order ,,,, Big Tam,,Ceaser, Danny McGrain,, CCV

No disrespect to them, but I shudder thinking back to the days of Ajer and Jullien.

 

Hope he's here for a while, will be badly missed.

Would have loved to have had CCV and Ajer together as a CB pairing.

 

We could do with more players with his physique, he has more muscle than the rest of the team combined and it shows when he plays

 

Always say the same. VVD ceiling might be higher but CCV is better at us than he was.

 

Has he ever had a game for us that you could genuinely say he's been poor?

 

CCV has gone up levels here compared to his time down south. I’d like to know who’s been responsible for his rise, someone here has showed him how to use his size exceptionally well.
