    Immense performance. He’s so calm on the ball; total opposite of Zimmerman. I think most US fans would agree.

    Matchup with van Dijk in the Round of 16. Should be a good watch.

    As much as I love to see our players do well in ANY international setting, including this farce of a WC, CCV is in a different bracket. It's not like he's a run of the mill attacker or striker, CB's in his mould are an absolute rarity.

    Since signing for us he's went from a loan journey man, to CL player, club captain, and WC performer.
    Won't be long now, the vultures in the EPL will be circling...

    Americans are idiots judging footballers. Their main gripe with CCV is his height and they think he's not as good at winning headers as if that's all there is to defending lol. There's also a rivalry amongst some fans between those who like MLS and those they deem Euro snobs that want most Americans playing in top 6 leagues. Some of the negativity is from MLS fans wanting to support their own and of course some that know * all about Scotland and think he's up against weak opposition week in week out.
