If it's true then he should be hung out to dry, * dangerous behaviour.

As someone said a page back, Griffiths got hounded by both fans and press for singing a song, drink driving kills.

But their crime or crimes and history of discipline within the club are different.....how will that be fair....?

Drop a division for drink driving......:smiley-laughing002:

As said if its true , which it probably is as the * would be * if its not, then the book should be thrown at him.
Sad that some cant seem to go a few weeks without a drink, its depressing. I actually thought the message that drink driving was just totally unacceptable was getting through to people.

It is getting through, but there will always be some * that thinks he can get away with it.

With some luck a nice long ban and club will fine him and give the money to charity.

Really? Do you think McGregors capable of more than 20 goals a season and consistently setting up the most goals season after season?

Big * ask for the boy, I see him more as aback up player.

The way I picked it up was that he was talking about Deilas perception of both players.

Ah, right. Deila's * clueless though, I pretty much discount his opinion these days :smiley-laughing002:

Aye true, he does however see him as part of his plan for the "Philosophy" that will make us rethink football and life as we know it.

    Apparently.

Deila needed this like he needed a hole in his head to be honest. McGregor has been reliable for us since he came back in and definitely useful and it seems like he has backed himself into a corner. Surely he cant use the player for the remainder of the season? What sort of message does it send that seemingly a single player is the only one hung out to dry for apparent discipline breaches. People are losing their minds that I am bringing this up but it's a valid question. I actually think Deila will come down hard on him. I dont see how he cant.

Stokes only ever hit 20 or more in 2 out of his 6 seasons with us. Even at that in both years he got 21 goals.

He has been frozen out for one of those seasons and was injured for the other so 2 times out of four, meaning a 50% chance he will score 20 goals a season and this does not take into account his biggest attribute, assists. How much would we pay for a man who could do it in other leagues? He had 19 in the season he fell short and got 8 when played on the wing.

So in the 3 seasons he played up front he scored 19, 21, & 21.

And do you think Callum McGregor is capable of that?

Was a player that played off the striker though, he assisted most goals in all seasons for us except the one he never played from August to January with a broken ankle. Totti, Bergkamp, Del Piero and others who played the similar role didnt score 20+ very often. The guys who played with him Hooper, Griffiths, Commons always scored for fun.

Exactly. When played up top with a partner he averages above 20 goals a season.

Last season on the left he scored 8 times. Armstrong got 2 last season and 3 this season so far and lets not even go there with the assists.

That's why i clarified my post by saying "If it's true".
    I hope it isn't.
Still possibly to go to court.
    Charges could be dropped, hopefully.

Regarding Stokes and McGregor's incidents and their punishments i think Stokes might have been forced out NOT because of Ronny Deila but because of the Celtic board's agenda to distance the club from it's Irish roots especially the Irish Rebel singing and Stoke's dad's well published run in because of his IRA support.
Deila might not have been given a choice except to drop Stokes.

Stokes is a reliable goalscorer for SPL football, especially against the lesser teams, that hit rate isn't bad at all (although it pales in comparison to Hooper and Griffiths) but there's a reason why Lennon never played him in big matches. There's also a reason why Deila has made him surplus to requirements and most striking of all, there's a reason why the only clubs in for him were Inverness, Dundee Utd, Hibs and some bottom of the table Championship dross.

No but for starters he plays a different position to Stokes. McGregor is a central midfielder, Stokes is a striker. Reminder that McGregor has double Stokes' European goal tally in less than half the amount of games.
