Still our most important player.

 

Playing nearly 60 games a season consistently would catch up with anyone. Shame he won't get a well deserved rest in the summer with the Euros being on, but he's the ultimate professional so he'll manage himself accordingly. I can imagine Rodgers resting him if we get the league won before the last couple of games.

 

He'll be rested after the group stage

 

Thankfully we are a well run club with excellent recruitment policies. We will have suitable cover signed early and ready to go, allowing for internationals such as McGregor to get an extra week or two rest at start of the new season.


In all seriousness, I think you'll be right. Unlikely will be much but can imagine either the last of last two league games he will get a rest again before the final.

If he plays consistently next season then he will have played 500 matches for Celtic 3/4 of the way through the season.

That definitely needs looked at he isn’t 25-28 anymore and has been picking up injuries the last few seasons that have caused him to miss considerable game time.

It also looks to have caught up with him this season as he has rarely been at his best.

 

Interesting Rodgers has said he's looked legy..

But, has looked a lot lighter in his feet this week, hopefully coming close to being back to 100% for these crucial 2 games.

 

rodgers saying he’s been ‘managing’ CalMacs appearances lately, rodgers should never have brought CalMac on against the huns, felt like we were a man down in midfield that led to the drawn game.

 

He's back. That roar for him around 56 minutes was class.
