We SHOULD NOT be playing him if he is still injured, Hopefully he can build his fitness and be ready for the cup final.

I think we're nursing till season is done then he's off for surgery. Shouldn't be this slow at getting up to speed.

Doesn't look like he's moved on from that first game back.

Sad to say, he's a man down.

Just because he’s willing and will play if asked, doesn’t mean he should be.

His interview after the game made it abundantly clear he’s still injured, if watching him didn’t clue us in already,

McGregor fully fit, 75% fit even, such an important game changing player, who controls it for us, and he’s an utter leader.

But playing extremely unfit, through the pain barrier because you hope to see that player on the pitch, doesn’t work. Iwata should start, put him on the bench and see if rest and used sparingly enough to ease him in and let his body recover, right now we’re endangering him for further damage and proper damage and we aren’t getting any benefit of him being on pitch

If the guy needs surgery then get it done now, you can see he is yards of his normal game, mono point in playing on as he may cause permanent injury to himself, we need a fully fit and functioning Calmac in our team who can take us up a gear, the Calmac playing the last few games is doing himself and reputation no good at all.

Really don't want to be thinking about this as he's been massive for us for years, but starting to get the feeling that he's on the decline. Not an age thing, he's still capable of all the things he's been good at over the years, but just consistency and that way he never used to put in anything less than a 7 every game.

Don't know it the arm band is weighing heavy or whatever, but there's something holding him back. Need to see much more off him next season and more importantly, already be planning his successor as he's now showing that he's not what he was.

:56::56::56:- never mind anything else what age does Cantwell think he's playing too? And does he seriously believe we are going to sign him?

    He's clearly still injured.

It was night and day when Iwata came on.

Iwata needs to start vs Hearts.

He's not done or anything like that, let's not have the Broony argument again. We all thought the same with him at 31 or so.

But he does need managed at the moment. He must be in the top.10 in Europe surely for amount of games played over the past 8 years or so. Need to consider that too.

He definitely still looks crocked. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest If Clarke has asked him to postpone the, it would seem, much needed surgery until after the Euros, which would no doubt mean he isn't ready for the new season starting.

Yeah he isn’t fit and it is blatantly obvious in transitions. He can’t get turned and chase anyone back properly and really struggles with energetic midfielders up against him at the moment.

He really shouldn’t be playing unless there is a chance this improves because right now he is a liability.

It will be Celtic's decision to delay if true. Don't think there's even a remote chance we'd do that for Clarke.

He's been back over a month now and still looks miles off it. It's not about getting up to speed. He's clearly carrying an injury and shouldn't be playing.

He wasn't playing particularly well before the injury anyway.

Another player who's game has been ruined by Rodgers

Would argue that Rodgers is the very season Callum McGregor is celtic captain and I would bet that the man himself would say similar.

He's not been his usual self but I wouldn't say he's ruined his game.

    Not hard to believe.

He's not been his usual self this season but since coming back from injury, he looks like he needs a zimmer.

Rushed back way too quickly and is hampering the overall team performance currently.

We need Iwata to start against Hearts.

1st time around no doubt, was tremendous and Mcgregor will probably say he's been biggest influence on his career.

But the drop off this year is more than just niggling injuries or number of games catching up with him. The previous 2 seasons he was best player in Scotland by a clear distance, he completely ran every game he played. Outwith the 1st 2 hun games this season he's been generally poor. That's on the manager and his * way off playing, just like it is with Kyogo.

And now he is running Mcgregor into the ground while injured just like he did to Tierney. Could argue that Tierney has never recovered or reached the heights he should have due to Rodgers continually playing him while injured.
