They had a player called Dodoo? Hahaha.

Who was the chap that blatantly halfed Paddy Roberts for the penalty after he baited him? Took them about 15 seconds to award it despite it being the most obvious decision of all time.

As his biggest supporter, except from maybe @Callum McGregor , I’ll admit alarm bells were ringing when he was named on the bench.

He's the kind of player that plays if he’s fit or not at all.

When was the last time he came off the bench as a Celtic player? Must be a few year ago at least, and it doesn’t matter how experienced you are, that must have an effect on anyone that’s not used to it.

Especially half fit in a game of that intensity.

That was Beerman. Roberts just waited and waited and knew he was going to slide in. Absolute schoolboy defending.

My favourite ever unexpected stupidity playing against them, he wasn’t even waiting, he was actively dribbling out the box and he wildly took him down before he left it. He was * petrified of Roberts, and Paddy knew it. Wish we actually got him at the time, think he’d have been a star and him having what he did at us, rest of his career he just couldn’t rise to it. Like Hart when he left City, when he was mid-table, nothing substantial to play for, just couldnt do it. Came here and had a revival, and made it clear having the fans and silverware on the line gave him a new purpose in football. Paddy left, didn’t have the connection and passion with the fans, or the big stadium and noise, and just dwindled away.

Playing him at the Etihad and him running riot, with us having £7m move agreed in principal got it pulled and Pep wanting a loan to a higher quality league just to see if he’d be handy for them. Nothing game as well. Can remember the question coming up at the time Roberts or Maddison after Aberdeen, absolutely nobody not just Celtic fans scoffed at the thought because it was Paddy Roberts no question.

Aye in hindsight after seeing him and how just not ready he was after the game I said the same, should have clocked he was nowhere near ready when he was on the bench rather than starting. If he was anywhere near ready, he’d start instead.

Ffs I didn’t know that. I was gonna say a cameo off the bench but if he hasn’t trained with the group I’d rather he’s rested tomorrow and given that extra little bit of time to recover for the split

I think he's postponing an operation or something

Feels a bit CCV of last season to me

He did train yesterday but wasn’t with the group. Interestingly see when there was the chat of out for the season one of the better for getting things right journalists spoke about the Scottish cup semi being when he was due back. If that had been anyone other than them last week he wouldn’t have been there.

In Rodgers only defeat to them he put Tierney on the bench but he was nowhere near fit enough to play or even come on.

Edit: looks like McGregor trained with the group today from the photos. Still no sign of Maeda though.

One of our main concerns this summer is bringing quality who can rotate with him.

He simply can't play every game, that he's halfway fit.

He's not fit. Iwata unlucky not to be starting tbh.

Miles off it, keep Iwata in and put him further forward for the game time.
