O’Riley puts McGregor to shame over the course of the season. MOR has been pish recently but I’d still back him to come up with something special before McGregor.

For me he should have come off before Iwata today. He was very poor in the game, wasted attacks with being slow to play a pass and really failed to take any control on the game.

When we took Iwata off he had been starting moves, mopping up any attempt by Motherwell to attack us, he was coming on to a strong game. I know it isn’t for a few weeks yet but if Hatate came back and the form was still like this it would be McGregors place he would be getting.

Cal was the only player that gets pass marks for that awful first half.

Who would you rather starts against the knuckle draggers at the midden?

For all his quality there’s only 1 answer to that question.

Depends on their form over the next month.

At the moment it’s probably Iwata, MOR and McGregor. But the two of them need to up their game.

There’s been 2 games against them so far this season, Calmac has been imperious in both. Particularly at their shithole where he controlled the entire game.

In his current form we are carrying MOR, he needs to shake off the malaise pronto.

He does, but I think McGregor has been poor as well. Course he’s had a few good performances this season but too often he’s leaving us exposed in midfield and lacking his usual composure and ability on the ball.

Moving him up will hopefully help alleviate that issue.

That's because that level of thought is well beyond your reach.

    Sorry to say...

No training today must be injured?

Edit: heard it could be an Achilles injury.

Ffs, we don't seem to be having any luck with injury..

He's been subbed off a few times, must be something we're just trying to manage..

    Hopefully nothing too serious.

Callum McGregor could miss Celtic’s game against Hearts this weekend after picking up a knock in their 7-1 win over Dundee.

The captain was subbed off at half-time after feeling a niggle on his Achilles and calf in the midweek clash.

The Hoops travel to Tynecastle on Sunday as the title-race begins to heat up as they trail Rangers by two points with ten games remaining.

It could be increased to five points by the time the game kicks off in Edinburgh with the Ibrox side hosting Motherwell on Saturday.

McGregor has been a mainstay in the side making 36 appearances across all competitions and playing a part in every league game so far this season

So if he does miss the game it could be classed a significant blow to Brendan Rodgers’ plans against the team sitting in third.

Speaking to the media on Friday, the Celtic manager confirmed the news and says the Scotland midfielder will be assessed again before any decision is made.

He said: “Callum came off at half-time during the week, he felt his Achilles a little bit and his calf, and I know from speaking to him that at this time of the year he normally does feel it a little bit because he obviously plays so much, so we just have to assess that and see where he is at over the next 24 hours.

“Otherwise we are pretty much the same, the guys are in good health and good spirits, so we are ready for the weekend.”

It’s a blow for Sunday but doesn’t sound serious thankfully.

    I think he'll play.

If there's one guy thats not going to miss a game it'll be CalMac. He'll take injections and all the rest of it just so that he can play. He is the club captain and part of his quality is the amount of games he plays a season. Unless he's seriously seriously injured then he'll be playing
