Has a knee injury that'll keep him out for a few weeks.

Yeah just seen his interview and doesn't sound encouraging from Ange at all. From what Ange says it sounds like his knee went when he tried to take the shot, which will be why he made a mess of it. If he felt his knee go then still went hammering after their player to try stop the counter he probably damaged it even more running on it trying to stop us conceeding. I honestly couldn't be prouder of our captain but * me that's gutting.

"We certainly could have used his leadership in the second half" Ange in his post match interview, some fans may take Callum for granted but Ange certainly doesn't.

From what Ange said in his post match interview he wasn't impressed with how negative our play was in the second half. He specifically mentioned the number of times the ball was needlessly passed back to Joe under no pressure.

Couldn’t come at a worse time, no luck at all with injuries.

Good. A crude DMF might make us punt the ball forward, for a change.

No one will know anything yet and we all know what Ange is like in interviews. Hopefully it’s nothing serious and he will be available real soon.

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has delivered a worrying injury update on Callum McGregor as he admitted 'it doesn't look good'.

The Celtic captain was forced off in the first-half against RB Leipzig after picking up a knee issue.

McGregor had tried to shoot at one end before chasing back and feeling a problem in his knee as he tried to prevent Christian Nkunku's opener.

Seven minutes before the break McGregor had to be withdrawn with Oliver Abildgaard his replacement.

And after the match, manager Postecoglou offered a concerning update on his captain's fitness.

It doesn't look good," conceded the Celtic boss.

"Again, we're a bit unlucky with the goal 'cause he went to have a shot and something tweaked his knee.

"He put in an enormous effort to chase back and it was his toe-poke that put the guy through.

"Looking at it, it doesn't look good. But I'll wait and see what the doctors say."

I meant, as an adaptation to him being there, perhaps our CB-s try balls over the top. Our build-up is too slow for Europe.

Gutted he's injured. Every match he's out just got more difficult.

Taylor had over-the-top slaggings for too long to make me feel anything but happy for the lad, even if folk do want to go overboard on the praise.

At fault for the opening goal tonight, and was at fault for Shakhtar’s as well. He will be a huge miss if he is out for any length of time however.

Nothing dramatic about owning the fact he’s generally been in uncharacteristically poor form of late.
