Why do you think Julien should be our next captain @RogicHasMagicToes?

For me he is too injury prone, goes down too easily and cheaply to be our next captain.

I do like Julien as a player, and might just be me, but someone rolling about on the ground because someone brushed against them is not a leader others follow.

Puyol and Sergio Ramos would really disagree with that :56:

Fair enough, just not great qualities for me. I do think Julien is professional, likable and has a decent level of experience, just not seeing him as a captain.

Ange would usually have a CB or defensive mid as his captain.

Could it be someone not yet at the club?

    Would that upset the fans?

    Is he PSG's captain.

He was Brazil's but thought he got stripped of it a few years back?

Not sure about PSG. He was a captain though and wasn't it for Brazil that he broke the world record for rolls after a tackle?

That's a bizarre approach to take, as you may not have someone in either position suited to the role.

Just seems to have been his approach in the past looking back at his teams. I reckon he'd have loved Broony.

Part in bold is a load of *, since we need home grown players for Europe.

People who claim to know how Ange operates say he promotes youth so you are not going to get your wish.

Are you a troll? You’re either a troll or just thick as *.

Going on about Shved as if he’s our answer to Arjen Robben, despite him struggling to get into a mid-table Belgian side.

Wanting Rogic to be the main man for us despite being unfit most of the time and injury prone.

Now you wouldn’t start either of our two most technically gifted midfielders (one being the current POTY) in European games?

Stop talking nonsense in every thread.

Home grown players can make up the bench, I stand by my opinion in that we won't progress far in Europe with too many Scots in the starting 11, they just don't have the correct levels of consistency in relation to composure, passing, decision making, technique etc that is required of them at that level in order to compete consistently.
It ain't nonsense, very few Scottish players are cut out for the top levels of the game, I've seen enough of CalMac in Europe to know he's not the answer in MF at that level if we are to reach heights we haven't seen in a long time, need to see more of Turnbull at that level before fully judging but my general point in that we won't go far in Europe with too many Scots in the starting 11 stands.

I went absolutely mental at Broony's last minute goal against Killie, only other one that would come close would be Ntcham's against Lazio or Forrest against Karagandy.
Same guy who wanted Callum Davidson over Howe as well.

Some of best European runs have had a team with Scottish players in it, look at WGS getting to the last 16 twice with plenty of Scottish players playing.

Same with Lennon last 16 and O’Neil did with the Uefa cup final.

All the Scottish players held their own.

I would rather we give some of our emerging Scottish talent a game than some journeyman or * like Ntcham Bitton etc.
