    This is great news in different ways. McGregor has been our best player of late and deserves a new deal. It is fantastic news that we can tie quality players down for that long especially Academy players. It also sends a message out to the other players that something is so good at this club that players don't want to leave for pastures new and try their hand elsewhere. Also a strong message to the media that Brendan is tying these players up and he is going nowhere. Building a team around McGregor and other Academy players makes consistency, Forest, KT, Ralston, Johnson. Hopefully we have a goal keeper coming through !! Future is bright cos its Green and White!!

    Great news! I have to confess he has proved me wrong a few times now. When he came back from his loan I thought he was a 1 trick pony, just shooting from distance any time he got the ball. Then I was sure he was a crap defensive midfielder but now, while I think his tackling could improve, his positioning and reading of the game in that position is excellent. If he continues to improve the way he has he is going to be some player.

    Just having a wee look back as it's always interesting when players make it, hindsight is a wonderful thing eh?

    I remember seeing him score against Legia away to put us one up and thinking this guy has quality, but never expected him to be so integral to our team

    I think it is vital he is played in his best position. I would hate to see him lose his spark by constantly fitting him in elsewhere just because he can. Key players play in their best positions and he is undoubtedly a key player.

    Who was the last midfielder we brought through that was this talented? McStay?

    Brilliant that he has signed up. I still can't believe has only a handful of Scotland caps, they should be building a team around him too.
