Fantastic. Hopefully he stays at the top longer than most (if not all) of his Scottish peers. The national side badly needs someone who can put in a ten year plus shift. The likes of Maloney, McFadden, Forrest, etc. have been disappointingly inconsistent.

The way scotland play now and the set up would suit a player like mcgregor, quite a bit of conpetition for places now which is good..

Mcfadden was consistent for scotland and did well, probably performed better internationally than he did club wise..
Maloney has been * poor for the majority of his international career, forrest has hardly played, that i can remember..

Scotland's best player available to them at this moment in time, imo.

Bit early for that mate, he could be in time as he is improving game after game but there are plenty more proven/established players at the moment..

I'd say he is. Bar an injured Scott Brown, Snodgrass and James Forrest, perhaps James Morrison, who else is there?

Dorrans, Fletcher and then you have the likes of Bannan, Anya who have all stepped up and done not bad..

I'm not saying he won't, just that others are infront just now..

I'd say he's far and away better than all of them. Although I accept Dorrans and Fletcher have had lengthy absences recently.

For an attacking midfielder that plays in the hole, Commons has shocking creativity.

McGregor has better dribbling, better touch, more skillful, quicker and can actually beat a mean.

Commons has one of the worst first touches in Scottish football and that's saying something. It isn't like a once a game thing, it's actually surprising when he controls a ball first time. Gets kind of boring watching him * up a pass then as soon as he's closed down just stick his fat * out and go down looking for a foul as soon as he's touched.

Add in to the fact he's an overweight 31 year old that's supposedly looking for a new 2/3 deal on 25k we should get rid.

looking forward to him maybe getting some game time against the world champions . Well in WGS for doing the right thing , need to get these young players blooded on the international stage . Mcgregor, Gauld , Robertson , Armstrong , Watt , May , Ryan Jack , John Mcginn , Mackay-steven ...all around the 20 mark , in 3 or 4 years time WGS could have a very good team on his hands.

    :56:

This forum regularly surprises me but I must say, this tops the lot for knee-* game by game opinions.

Our 21 year old rookie that played in League 1 last season is a better player, in every sense, than the SPL POTY and top goal scorer from last season who apparently now is fat and doesn't have a first touch :87:

    Absolutely embarrassing.
