You can bet Brendan loves this bhoy , improving , versatile and very dependable.

He deserves every bit of praise he gets as he's been fast elevating his level and is a vital player now.

Before this season I never thought he'd be good enough to be a first team regular but hard work and the faith of a great manager has allowed him to prove how good he is.

Another one that's totally turned it round, still can be a bit greedy at times but that's not neccasarily a bad thing. Shoe in for the next Scotland squad too you'd think

A better player than he was at the start of the season. But he isn't the answer, and we should look for better.

As it stands with the current squad all fit, the middle 3 is Brown, Armstrong and Rogic.
We need to imrpove on those 3 and for me mcgregor isn't the answer to that question.

Sounds harsh, but I don't mean it to be. He has come on leaps this year - just not to the same level as Armstrong for me.
His pace lets him down a little with the counter attack. And hia strength could be improved.

Handy squad player though, very handy.

Just shows you, when Brendan says "they are class". You can guarantee they are goin to play their best football of their careers soon after.
dembele, rogic, forrest, armstrong, boyata, Roberts and then mcgregor. Like clockwork, Brendan praises them then they play out of their skin.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that way. His decision not to square it in the first minutes was daft. He also got luckyour with lead up to his goal with a * pass that deflected kindly for us. I like him I just hink that rogic fully fit or Armstrong in his position would have done more.

Best game by far in the hoops for me..

Even showed he had a bit of steel when they were trying to counter and he cleaned some * out just outside their penalty box..

Passing wise I can't remember one sloppy pass. Outstanding son..

I doubted you big time but by * you've shown up..

Still learning will have games were he isn't as effective but can get better if he listens to the advice given by the coaching staff

His technique seems to have improved. Didn't know he had been with the club since he was nine. Dozen't want to leave either.

THE SPFL title is in the bag but there will be no let-up when the Hoops run out of the tunnel at Paradise to take on St Johnstone tomorrow (Saturday) and Callum McGregor will be crossing the line on to the hallowed turf with a spring in his step.

The attacking midfielder has whet his appetite for the remainder of the season by netting two memorable goals in successive games against Rangers at Hampden and Ibrox. However, despite talk elsewhere of a treble and finishing the season unbeaten in domestic football, he and his team-mates won’t change their game-to-game mantra.

Any possible dressing-room talk on the subject has been put to one side and McGregor said as the team prepare for the visit of the Perth Saints: “It’s the old cliché of one game at a time and that’s what we’re going to have to look to starting on Saturday. We can go into that and hopefully do well.”

He does go into the game on a personal high, though, following his exploits in the 2-0 and 5-1 wins over the team from Ibrox. He said: “It’s been incredible this week, and last week as well. To get those two goals against Rangers and to beat them so convincingly has been brilliant.

“There are five games to go and I just want the games to keep coming now. It's like that as a player when you are doing well and scoring goals. You just want to keep playing and keep the games going.”

And, far from having a hollow run-in to the end of the season as champions, McGregor and his team-mates do have that unbeaten run to protect, as well as places in the Scottish Cup final team to play for.

He said: “When you’re in the team, you need to keep doing well to stay in it and obviously you want to be a part of that day as well. So I’m sure all of the players between now and then will be doing their best to keep in the manager’s thoughts for it.

“Every game for Celtic is a massive game, but with one eye on the cup final, you want to make sure you are in the team that day. We have a big squad and everybody has played their part.

“Players have come in and had great performances and then back out and in again. So that’s been the strength of us this season in that we’ve managed to keep everybody happy, everybody on side and everybody performing well.”

The 23-year-old was speaking at the Live The Legend launch of Celtic’s new 2017/18 Hoops with the accent on celebrating the achievements of the Lisbon Lions on the 50th anniversary of their greatest moment.

McGregor said of the new Lisbon-inspired kit: “It’s amazing. It’s a lovely strip and obviously with the significance of it, people are still talking about it 50 years on and it’s going to be a part of this club forever. So to wear that badge and go out and perform in the strip is an incredible feeling.

“The Lions such an iconic group of players and coming through the system here, they are spoken about all the time. I think it will be the same forevermore and just to have the right to wear the badge is incredible.”

The Lions are still an inspiration to the current squad and there is still the influence of John Clark in his role as Kit Manager at the club.

McGregor added: “You still see Clarky every day up at Lennoxtown and just to be around guys like that is an honour for us. We use that inspiration to go on and hopefully do something similar this season - that would be incredible.”
