If he keeps playing at that standard, I suppose.

Thought he was a good but now see he is a excellent squad player and possibly more going by yesterday and a few other times.
If he can find consistency and a bit more speed and confidence, he could be ahead of Rogic.

    Sound far fetched,

How many of you now would jump to have Rogic over Armstrong!
    How many 6 months ago?

Brendan has worked wonders with these players and if he says McGregor has all the talent, we need to accept it.

Celtic are currently spoiled, long may it continue.

Massively underrated by both the support and more importantly the opposition

Barry Ferguson spoke well of him on the latest Sportsound podcast, said he liked him and he was underrated called him good technically and a clever player. Graeme Spiers said he was similar to Ferguson and had very skillful feet.

Both saying he was a player Celtic fans hadnt taken to for some reason despite him playing well and Ferguson said fans are always like that with homegrown Scottish players.

CM The boys were excellent. A great day all round."

CM if that was his best day as Celtic player: "I think so, with getting the goal and the top-class performance from the boys."

CM: "The manager has praised me quite highly over the last few weeks so great to go out, play like that & get a goal on a big occasion."

CM: "I have been at this club since I was 9 & you dream of doing that at Hampden in semi-finals/finals."

CM: "That moment when the ball the hit back of the net was unbelievable. I've watched it back a few times...more times than I will you!"

CM: "Everyone in the squad this year has been outstanding, so it's been hard to get in and stay in."

CM: "It’s been great to have been playing so much and Sunday was the pinnacle.

CM: "Tom was back fit and he has done incredibly well this year so it was good for the manager to back me and I repaid him with the goal."

CM: "I felt we were excellent on the ball, how we passed & moved it, Rangers found it difficult to deal with that rotation on the ball."

CM: "It’s (Celtic) is a great place to be. It always is, but we are getting results & performances seem to be getting better every week."

CM: "I just try and play the same way and don’t try and deal with too many outside influences and do my best for the team."

CM: "Everyone has played their part and I am quite happy to do that as well."

CM on feelings if called up to the @ScottishFA squad for the upcoming game with England: "It would be massive, a huge game."

CM: "I just need to keep focused on what I am doing at Celtic, keep performing and see what happens."

CM on Saturday's Glasgow derby showdown at Ibrox: "It will be a different game. Always harder to go there and get on the ball and play."

CM: "Especially after the result on Sunday, they'll be up for it. Need to look after our stuff & hopefully go & get a positive result."

    * * that last question :56:

"With a performance like that on Sunday does that make you content with your place in the squad or do you want to leave?"

No shame and they keep doing it. Was Armstrong a week or so ago..

The way he answered that last bit was probably my favourite part of his interview..

Agree with Ferguson, we're always at our harshest with homegrown players..

Wee McGregor just needs to influence games throughout the whole match, he just drifts out of matches for periods. That will come as he gets more experience and confidence. The confidence aspect is something we as fans can help with, by cutting him some slack.

Aye, me too. I hope he does get that consistency to his game to the point where he can become a regular starter. I must say, seeing our midfield 3 being Scots and performing so well the other day was fantastic.

Good to see Brendan wheeling out the players who are performing well, for media interviews. He done it with Boyata before and it gives them a good sense of responsibility and confidence. I'm sure Broony gets tired of the same mundane questions about Der Hun time after time.

We get zero credit for the amount of homegrown player's we have in our first team and squad..

If that was any other side half as successful as this one's been....

Gordon, Tierney, Brown, Armstrong, McGregor, Forrest and Griffiths have all played a huge part in what could be one of our finest seasons ever. You're right, it seems to have went under the radar a bit.

I remember the day's not too long ago when our game used to get slated for the amount of foreigners we had parking up for and most for short stays and decent pay day's..

Now we're absolutely flying the flag for this country and dominating successfully with a majority of player's born in the country. Not a peep though unless it was saving Scotland's bacon on the international scene last game..

Add in the Henderson's, Gms and youth player's who've had a shot as well and it's to be commended..

Have no idea why the support hasn't "rated" him. He has been by far our most impressive loanee after he tore up League 1 with Notts County as a teenager. Came into the first team and has looked comfortable on the ball, good awareness, has an eye for a goal , rarely loses it, creative. Last 5 or 6 games of last season he was our best player. He has everything going for him .
