It was a quality finish as well, taken like a natural scorer. Was shown in the highlights before the game on Sunday. I mind thinking oh aye that was a cracking finish that day, then not long into the game he * up a sitter.

Can be pretty frustrating watching him sometimes but I still rate him highly, and just hope he hope can become a bit more consistent.

But he's still not scored a goal since January. I don't see what all the song and dance is about McGregor. I would still have Henderson before him.But Brendan seems to have a soft spot for McGregor.

And Brendan has forgotten more about football than you will ever know.

McGregor was actually called up for Scotland when he first broke into our team at the start of Ronny Deila's reign. He was playing as a right-winger back then, though.

I'd have him in the squad, at least. He doesn't do anything brilliantly, but he does everything quite well.

He's a tidy enough player but too often his final pass or killer pass goes straight to the opposition. Very composed in the middle of the park but loses that composure in the final third.

For now he's a good squad player but as I've said before, I'd like our squad players to be of a higher level in the near future.

    I disagree.

I think he's very composed in the final third, but he'll often take too much time to do things. His composure around the box was what served him well at Notts County, anyway.

I think he does have composure in the final third when he wants to but very often it disappears.

    Inconsistent would be my assessment.

Tries to take far too many touches at times.

Wish he would just put his laces through the ball.

I think if he makes small improvements to his game then he could be a fantastic player to have and not just a useful squad player

Aye I'd agree with this as well.

It's been a problem since he first broke in under Ronny.

I think if u look at his goal V Motherwell away when he got us back into it , he made the perfect amount of touches and had the composure of a top top striker ,it's more down to his handyman typecast , it's not really fair on him as he gets shunted about and is willing to sacrifice being the hero to more or less take one for the team ,it says a lot about the type of guy he is ,i would have a team full of players with his attitude every day .

People slated him for taking too many shots under Ronny? His role in this team is to keep possesion, keep the ball moving. It's why his pop shots have pretty much dissapeared.

I know what you're saying but we're not talking about wanting him just to have random pops at goal from 30 yards. There's occasions when a shot is very much on but he instead passes it into a crowded box and we eventually lose the ball.

In general it's one of those frustrating things you see in a football match, regardless of the team. Too many players try to pass it into the net rather than have a strike at goal.

I know mate but it's such a sharp change in how he naturally plays I don't think it's came from anybody else bar Rodgers.

Aye I'm sure he's been given the task of retaining possession and moving the ball on quickly, but I'd like to see him have more pops at goal when the shot is on.

He's already scored a few crackers for us.

I think we need to do more of that in general, Armstrong is the only guy that tends to but with the form he's in you want to see him have a go at anything.

    Certainly wouldn't be against it.

I'm sure Rogic coming back will see some more digs from around the edge of the box. The handsome * that he is.

CM on drawing the last Glasgow derby: "We didn’t play particularly well on the day, just shows if you are not at it you can get punished."

CM: "We have certainly got good players and we know they have as well."

CM: "It will come down to who wants it more, a bit of luck and ultimately who performs better on the day."

CM: "We keep our mindset to what it’s been all season. Had a good week of training & looking forward to the game."

CM: "We take each game as it comes and we know it’s going to be hard fought & we will have to be at our very best to win it.”

CM: "We have prepared well this week and we are fully focused on the game on Sunday."

CM on having Scott Brown available for Scottish Cup semi-final: "Massively important. In every game he is a leader."

CM: "In here every day, he sets standards for the boys and we are delighted to have him available for the game."

CM: "At times on Sunday, it's going to be a bit frantic and he's the cool head that can steady the boys can get us playing."
