McGregor gave the ball away no more than anyone else.

He was very good today, quick and strong on the ball.

He was good when he came on, with Brown and Armstrong on it gave him more freedom since he's not a sitting mid. At least he tried to create, took players on and not just taking the easy option. One of few that were brave on the ball today.

Nah not for me, had a couple of good runs, but gives the ball away for me too much and I can't for the life of me see how he fits into the team in a defensive mode, he is without doubt the worst player I can think of for trying to defend, and for some reason BR has him playing a more defensive role. Criminal for the goal, * he was thinking going left when he had 2 Rangers players to his right I can't begin to fathom.

I dont think he'll ever be good enough to be a regular in the first 11 but think hes great for a squad player technically very good and likes too attack decent wee player

McGregor, Bitton and GMS should all be sold in the summer.
Defence needs strengthened throughout and someone that can replace Rogic when he's out injured should be bought.
Also, back up for Griff and Dembele needs brought in. too.
Roberts won't be here after summer so need someone similar brought in.

I wouldn't sell mcgregor but agree with the rest ... he can still do a good job domestically and in qualifiers

Good run when he came on. Gave the ball away a couple times.

No worse than most on the pitch today.

Mostly competent player when called upon if obviously not a starter long term. He's not pish or needing shifted or any nonsense like that.

Say what you want, when the going got tough, Bitton and a couple others hid. When mcGregor came on, he demanded the ball and never hid, he never does

The winger? Yeah not very good, not that I expect my wingers to be defending. CM is played as a defensive midfielder by BR whether it's right or wrong.

He's done it continually in Europe and at home, no way is that his position, we sign a £2.5m midfielder who didn't have a problem playing in a tougher league than ours, but somehow he's not ready yet.

:56::56::56: the same McGeady who's 2nd only to Larsson for setting up goals for us since the 2000's started?

You really don't even watch our games do you? :56::56:

If such mediocrity is second only to Larsson in assists, that doesn't reflect well on our other players whose job is to create.

    Mediocrity :56:

I'd love it if all of our players were as mediocre as the likes of McGeady's player of the year season.

CM: We just need to focus on ourselves, prepare for the game and try to get a good result, regardless of what happens elsewhere.

CM: We’ll keep an eye on the Aberdeen result on Saturday but it’s our job to focus on winning our game on Sunday.

CM: To win the league in March would be a great achievement but it’ll be great to get over the line whether it’s this week or next game.

CM: Winning titles in any league is excellent but if we can cross the line unbeaten it’ll be great for everyone.

CM: Manager always tells us to be relentless and when we get across the line there’s no way we’re going to take our foot off the gas.

CM: We want to keep winning games.

CALLUM McGregor knows that the Celtic players can only focus on their own job, and that means being prepared for the challenge of facing Dundee at Dens Park this Sunday regardless of what happens with their nearest rivals.

The Hoops will be aiming to extend their unbeaten domestic run to 36 games and take a step closer to a sixth consecutive title. Anything else on the back of that will be a welcome bonus.

Second-placed Aberdeen faced Hearts on Saturday, and a defeat at home for the Pittodrie side would present Brendan Rodgers’ side with the chance to clinch the title at Dens Park the following day. But as McGregor explained ahead of the game, the Celtic players haven’t been thinking about such permutations.

“We just need to focus on ourselves,” he said. “We need to prepare for the game and try to get a good result, regardless of what happens elsewhere. It’s our job to focus on winning our game on Sunday."

The Hoops go into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Rangers at Celtic Park last weekend, and while it was a match that the home side deserved to win, McGregor explained that any disappointment at conceding a late equaliser is long gone.

“It’s been good in training this week,” he said. “It was a draw and we were obviously disappointed, They celebrated like they’d won it. We just focus on the positives. It’s another game unbeaten and another point closer to winning the league.

“To win the league in March would be a great achievement. Everybody has worked so hard for it with that relentlessness that’s seen us unbeaten in every game. It’ll be great to get over the line, whether it’s this week or the next game.

“Winning titles at any level, in any league is excellent, but the way we’ve done it this year is incredible. If we can cross the line unbeaten it’ll be a great achievement for everyone.

“The manager is always telling us to be relentless in every game that we play. When we get across the line there’s no way we’re going to take our foot off the gas. We want to keep going and keep winning games. That’s the way it’s going to be.”
