My wife has tried the cabbage one a few times and also the atkins ect...
the cabbage one is good for fast weight loss.. but the only problems with diets is the faster you lose it you have to be careful not too put it back on... the cabbage one is actually one recommended by hospitals for people who cant undergo surgery due to weight

I could go on and go into the saga of the exercise regime but i aint one for that .. so if you feel a bit plump the gabbage and the atkins ok.... be careful on atkins and drink plenty of water

A couple of years ago I was boozing and eating junk over Christmas, so I bought a book on macrobiotics in order to detox. All I can say is, what a load of *. Barley soup, which was just barley and hot water. Pure boufing.

I fired the book in the bin and went and got a burger. Now I exercise about 6 days a week at the gym and at home and am as fit as a boxer.

I wish I had the way and the means to accept this challenge, I am 65 years old and think the same as you, that I am the fittest man here.
I might just have the edge as I have been looking after myself a bit longer. :56::56::56:

    Hi Angie :bbpd:
I think the best I have heard here has come from Kennydal. If you done this and could run around the block a few times every day you would have no more problems.

diets are alot of *, your body weight fluctuates in lbs all the time(im sure there will be an abundance of replys saying "i dont it, my pal done it, it works")

set meals, set times, 3 times a day, decent breakfast, lunch and dinner all before 7pm......regular exersize 3 x times a week (although you can get away with 2) is all you need

regular food, regular exersize thats all

Well Angie, I'm starting back to the gym tonight for the first time since before the Xmas holidays. The girlfriend's been abroad since then and like most, I went on a booze/food binge, putting on around a stone! I'm going over to visit her on the 27th of this month, so I have a little under two weeks to get my lazy * into some sort of shape, or I'll be sleeping with the dog (the family pet, not her, before any of you smartarses start :icon_mrgreen:). I'll be hitting it every night until I leave and I'm cutting out all * food, but still eating normal, average-sized meals. I'll let you know how I get on. I'm weighing in at 12 stone 10 lbs at present. I'll keep you updated.

Drink plenty of water through the day, when you think you're hungry a lot of the time your body is just telling you it's dehydrated :50:

i dont think any diet works guys....unless you are on it forever, otherwise the weight goes straight back on after you start eating normally again. The only way to lose weight and keep it off is too eat less and excercise more.

your on a diet until you lose the amount of weight you want, then you maintain that weight by eating a healthy and staple diet and excercise, i cannot exercise at the moment, and the weight has gone on in 2 months due to stopping smoking and steroids, and i would like it to come off pronto so i can get back to normal, i have no patience to wait aroung for 2 pounds a week when i could lose ten doing it this way, a wee kick start :50:

Bingo. There's no pint in quick-fixes etc.
BTW, the first thing you lose when you diet is not fat but muscle. As this is 3x heavier that fat, people think their losing lots of weight when their not really.
