    Fair enough mate.

I would like some cover for Izzy myself, athough as long as we get a CB in then we have Charlie and Matthews who can fill in there so I could live without getting a LB in.

In that case it would be better to buy 2 CDs. That's what I'm getting at.

Main thing we need is a fast CB. Mulgrew and Vic come forward all the time and we play such a high line, as we're used to dominating possesion in SPL matches, that against European opposition we get caught out time and time again and none of our defenders except Matthews have the pace to get back.

Really disappointed in Izzy, he seems to have lost a good few yards of pace when in his first season he looked one of the quickest players in Britain.

honest to * , people on here need to realise what a good player wanyama is . if we sell him we wont be able to bring in that sort of quality again ...in 2 years time i guarantee he is world renowned and world class. our best player by a mile , no way should we sell him for a few years , and then cash in when the time is truly right and for silly money. Ki, if the price is right is a more sensible sacrifice to make if it means a striker that can head a ball and a commanding centre half.

btw , wanyama should be playing centre midfield.

What? You guys are insane! Peter Lawwell is doing a fantastic job with the balance sheet and if we buy anyone we'll liquidate like Rangers, we've got so much quality for the Champions League. Na Na Na Na Na Tony Tony Stokes... Looks like Graham Wilson's article is beginning to make sense to more of you who thought we'd hump HJK and that our squad is good enough without investment bar a goalie we've had for 2 years anyway.

Not really. If Mulgrew and another are 1st choice and Izzy get's injured. We can move Mulgrew to LB and bring in Rogne, Wilson, Wanyama or Lustig. If we bring in two, then one of them is going to settle for a back up place and we'll struggle to find better than we have who will settle for that imo. And Mulgrew deserves to be 1st choice. There's every chance Izzy will play the full season. I think signing cover for Izzy wouldn't actually be a bad option, but I think Lenny likes Blackman. Then again you can move Matthews over and play Lustig.

A good way to put it is if, and my Henrik we should, sell Kelvin Wilson then we should buy 2 centre backs but assuming we don't, 1 MUST be bought. Don't count on it tho...

I don't see why it's out the question that we keep the main stay of the squad and try clear the dead wood.
We have already lost maj, loovens,Wilson, odea, juarez, cha & potentially more that should be enough to cover a cb and a st. I feel we only need 1 of each and would like to keep Vic and ki as there will be in jury's and suspensions throughout the season and if we get European football I think ki will be valuable

I really hope Ki plays brillantly and perhaps scores against GB and this will lead to QPR offering us £8million, we both shake hands on the deal. Pedro wakes up and, after sneaking through against HJK, allows Neil to spend atleast £6million on the defender and striker we desperately need.

I think Ki is in the process of being sold, i expect that deal to happen quite soon.
I would not sell Wanyama, he's irreplacable right now, we don't have a player like him and won't be able to get one on our finances so easily.

As for Stokes, he's gonna guarantee 15 - 25 goals a season and is a heck of a lot more dynamic than Hooper. Again, you'd have to look at how much a replacement would cost.
Would that player fit right into the team and score as many goals?

If we can get Samaras scoring regularly it would save us needing to buy a striker.

Bangura has hardly played and lacks confidence. He's got goals in him, but he needs to be more direct and a bit more greedy and determined to get the shots away.

Ki to go - the rest to stay, unless the right offer comes in.

We have enough quality and if we qualify for the CL group stages, we don't need to sell anyone. January will be the time to do business.

Stokes scoring 15 goals in the SPL ain't a big deal. I'd rather give young Watt experience. Let's get our money back on the player.

It's baffling what you have against Stokes, his return to games rate is brilliant for us. Even without including all his assists.

If we sell Ki I wouldn't have too many qualms. I rate the guy but he's been here a while so naturally may want to move on. Furthermore, our midfield has enough players in it as it is and he's not always suited to scrappy games in the SPL.

As for Wanyama, I'd hate to see him leave after a season. He's a class act, and if we lose both we all of a sudden become a bit lacking in midfield if we pick up one or two injuries or suspensions, especially if we get into Europe.

We're in dire need of a quality centre half and a number 9. If the reports are to be believed and Ki's valuation is around the 7M mark, we wouldn't blow it all anyway. We'd spend maybe half of it at most. No need to sell both players.

As for buying 2 CBs, I'd be happy to see us pick up one experienced CB for maybe a chunk of the spending money, and maybe a younger prospect for a pittance who could do a job off the bench or help rest players. Obviously Rogne is still young but again injuries and suspensions could cause us a bit of hassle. Mulgrew would be my choice to partner any new CB, Lustig isn't a natural CB, and Wilson has been poor since returning from injury (and although I'd happily give him another season, there's talk of him being sold back down south).

it would be fantastic to get in to cl that would be 12-15m to play with,if not ki goes for 7m and spend it on a cb and another 1 if we get rid of wilson,i would love a direct cent mid as well, upfront obv another striker and get rid of bangura injured again apparently,i would blood watt this year

We don't need 2 cb as mulgrew is a defo starter for me.i don't see the need to sell wanyama unless he wants to go.ki can leave for 6 or 7 million no problem
